Football You should have been there, one of the most exciting games I’ve ever played in. The Warriors went on the road to play the Cortland Purple Tigers that scored 70 points in their win against Fulton in week one. The Warriors weren’t messing around either scoring 41-29 against the always good Indian River team in week one. The Warriors came off that bus with their dress shirts and ties, walking with their Whitesboro Swagger into the locker room. Running onto that field was electrifying players yelling, fans standing up, everyone knew it was going to be a great game.
The score was 2-1, playing in the last few minutes of the game, he wanted to make one more goal, faking out the defense moving the ball down field, he does a trick shot and he scores! With 4 second left, he scored one last goal and won the game! Everyone runs to the field cheering for Jack and The Warriors! College scouts swarming the field, trying to get Jack’s attention. Every head coach handing out their business card to him, every coach wanted him to be a part of their team, but he only had one team he was interested in being a part of.
The Colts got the ball back and the fans started to boo their team as they left the stadium. The final score was 35-27. The Colts improved to 11-0 in the season and Houston fell to 5-6. I was proud to see my team win despite them coming back from losing by 13 at halftime. Attending my first NFL game was a great experience for me.
Those moments were just building up to what I had anticipated most: to finally take the field with my varsity teammates. The crowd was cheering as the announcer said “Here are your 2004 Valley View Eagles!” At that moment, I remember every nervous limb in my body being replaced with electricity throughout my veins as we rushed across the green grass. The crowd was roaring, the entire varsity football team was yelling in excitement, and most importantly, I was finally underneath the Friday night
Under the Big Lights High School was a blur. It came and went by so quick leaving fond memories and highlights of my life. Even though I only played football my senior year, it was an unforgettable experience and it changed my life drastically. Being able to play under those big lights in front of hundreds and hundreds of people was an honor. So much pressure rose as the time ticked down and the crowd stomped their feet waiting in anticipation for a Wolverine touchdown.
He was not in there for too long because Mr.Radley had to bring him back home so he would not die from the mold growth. When Boo left that basement, he would never see society again. While Boo was chained up in his own house, rumors passed were around town about him. People became terrified of Boo because of stories and lies told about him. He was only a victim of the insanity his parents put him through from being isolated from society.
I look to my left and see my best friend and star wide receiver, Slick Fells. We ran out of the locker room extremely confident that we were going to beat Ridgefield and get a shot to win the state finals. The game started and Slick and I were perfect. I knew exactly where he would be every play. Ever since I first met him in 5th grade pewee football, our chemistry has been perfect.
When we entered the stadium to play we were a little early so we got some water and started getting each other excited to play. Then it was time, we went onto the field screaming and hollering like maniacs. When the first team came out to play we were ready to play some defense. They ran to the left, and then the right and then down the middle, no matter where they went we stopped them we had them locked out, there was no way they could score. By the end of their twenty plays, Rosemont had scored one touchdown, we were ecstatic.
The pristine quality of the picture amazed all first time attendants. As the minutes dwindled, the PA announcer had to speak louder and louder, just to be heard over the roar of the crowd. As the game clock ticked down to twenty- two seconds, the pure white jerseys were now stained green and brown from the turf and dirt. This building is truly a great place to house the Dallas Cowboys and the game of
Brian was the “Brain” took a gun to school hide it in his locker because he was going to try to commit suicide. Andrew was the “Jock” and he taped up some persons butt cheeks together because he thought it was funny at the time. Allison “the basket case” recruited herself because “she had nothing else better to do” on a Saturday. Finally, the last member of the group was Bender “the criminal” he pulled the fire alarm off in the school while school was in session. Seeing as though all the members had disciplinary issues they were recruited to attend Saturday detention.
