Prosthodontics, periodontics and endodontics are a few specialties that Deal more with the opposite spectrum of cosmetic dentistry. When it comes to the branch of Dentistry dealing with the appearance of the teeth you must have an eye for art. Making Someone’s smile stand out is what a cosmetic dentist thrives for. Improving the appearance of teeth is definitely a hobby, even though the American Dental Association does not recognize cosmetic dentistry as a formal specialty of dentistry, it is the MOST common of all specialties. Prosthodontics specializes in the fabrication of teeth, crowns and bridges. Which ultimately enhance the patients bite, occlusion and esthetics. Orthodontics deals with the correcting of the patients bite. When either treatments/specialties are needed you can almost guarantee that the patient has self-esteem issues and are dying to have some cosmetic work done. For example, when an implant is needed to replace a missing tooth it can relieve paint and correct a bite. Once work is finished. Cosmetic dentistry can be very expensive, most cannot afford it. Prices range from $900.00 all the way up to $5000.00. Types of cosmetic dentistry are as follows. Bonding porcelain veneers, crowns, enameloplasty, gingevectomy, gum depigmentation and teeth whitening. Teeth bleaching are one of the most common of the cosmetic dental treatment sought after. There are over the counter bleaching sets you can get or you can get them from your Doctor. Teeth’s bleaching is recommended for patients that have stains that will not be removed
