Communication patterns The Benefits of Corporate Culture 1. It helps align the company towards achieving its vision, mission and goals 2. It increases team cohesiveness among the various departments divisions or units within an organization, serving as the glue that bonds ppl together 3. It shapes the behavior of staff at work by encouraging the assimilation of core values and desired behavior, enabling the organization to be more effective and efficient 4. It promotes consistency, resolves conflict and facil;itates coordination and control 5. It increases motivation among staff by providing them a sense of belonging, loyalty, beliefs and values, and by encouraging them to think positively about themselves and their organisation 6. It enables an organisation to pull its ppl together and maximise their potential, ultimately gaining a competitive edge Symptoms of Unhealthy Corporate Culture: 1 There is a great sense of complacency about their organisation's performance. 2 There isno sense of urgency in addressing customer needs. 3 There is little innovation in their products on services or the way they serve customers 4 Staff are reactive, taking little initiative to chage and improve, and often adopt the “wait-for-the-top” attitude. 5 Staff, including senior executives, are operations-driven rather than business-oriented 6 Leaders are slow in taking action
