Like a normal human being the student started to panic. So at the end of class he politely asked for extra credit, and the teacher in return said, no. Although in college you don’t receive extra credit he deserves some extra credit to make up for the mistakes the teacher had made. Another reason why teachers should acquire failing students with extra credit is that perhaps the students may of missed many days of school prior to being sick or injured. However, if your a student that misses a day of school, you should get the make up work and you should catch up to the rest of the class on your own.
coach Coach Carter In the movie Coach Carter, the Buddhist ‘8 Fold Path’ can be applied to the characters in the movie to tell us which characters had the right and wrong knowledge, aims, speech, conduct, livelihood, effort, mindfulness and meditation. In the movie the character who had the right knowledge was Damian. Damian was Carters son, and he transferred from a ritzy, high academic school to Richwood, to play basketball on his fathers’ team. As much as that may have not been the smartest idea, Damian had the highest marks on the team, and was able to help tutor the other teammates having trouble in their studies. The character who had the wrong knowledge was Cruz.
Taking someone under your wing can be a scary experience. One of the most difficult and joyful things I’ve ever done was coach basketball. I was afraid of how to first approach the players at Los Cerros Middle School. I thought that coaching would be good volunteer work for my community. What I did not realize was that coaching these students would make me a more confident individual.
Playing college athletics also means that the person involved will most likely be in better shape and more physically active while in school due to the regiment their coach puts them through. Staying physically fit in school can help prevent that student from becoming ill and miss class time. How did Coach Carter inspire his team to become both better players and people? Coach Carter was an inspiration coach to the Richmond high basketball team, he took a bunch of disrespectful, no good kids that were going no one in life and turned them into respectful young men that were now going somewhere in life. Couch Carter went to Richmond high school when he was a teenage and held record’s for basketball. He wanted to teach the boys that they could go somewhere in life if they study and go to classes and get good grades. Before couch carter took over the Richmond high basketball team they were shit.
On some days, we would miss practices and then showed up for basketball meets. Therefore, our coach was fed up and decided not to enter us in the middle school county championship. I was pissed at Coach Ross at the time, but when I think about it now, he made the right decision to not enter us. That is when I learned that if you going to play sports, you must have commitment.
