Ethical Dilemma Paper Caymen Nolin Cja/324 4/14/2014 Ethical dilemmas occur every day throughout the world and are tough to really ever overcome. These are situations where each party has a different moral standard for the incident that is taking place and cannot come to an agreement for a happy ending result for both parties. An example of an ethical dilemma would be a pregnant woman who is against abortion is told if she does not get one she will die so what does she do in this ethical dilemma? Some other examples include stem cell research, war, taser usage with officers, the list can go on and on. I do not feel along with many others that posted on this article that it is right or ethical any more than selling your organs through the black market. I feel people should be able to choose whether they want to donate or get rid of their organs or not because it is their body no one else’s. I also feel that maybe selling organs is not such a bad idea or so morally wrong. The way I look at it is if we have to many people that are needing these transplants why not sell them??? Yes, people who are going to sell them are most likely the poorer population but if it helps save another’s life then why not? I think they should set it up kind of like the way that they do with selling ones eggs to help another get pregnant and so on. These women have to go through several tests to make sure they are perfectly healthy and well as well as being put on stipulations of not being on welfare and having a steady income and such. This allows more people to be able to do this and get paid for it and allows more wemon to be able to have children that could not naturally do it so why couldn’t it work in the same way for organ…show more content…
There are so many controversies over this issue it will probably never be solved. The verdict on the article states that they want to make it mandatory when one gets their license to automatically become a donor but I do not see how they could get this accomplished because it is unethical as well. Making someone do something against their will is very unethical and I feel that they would not be able to get this past. Not only is it unethical but it also violates the 4th Amendment as well. With this being said I think something needs to be because it is not right that many people every year are dying because the lack of organs available to do transplants. How do we morally and ethically decide what is best though and who do we let make that decision for
