City Living vs. Farm Living Angie Benton I will be discussing the similarities and differences of city life and farm life. Some of the points to consider when deciding on the best place to live are the pace of life, conveniences and cost of living. These points are important when considering where you want to live, but also as important are personal preferences and priorities. City living is by far hard on your mind, body but good for your soul. Country life gives you a better quality of life; therefore, you tend to live longer. In the city, the pace of life is always fast and hectic. There are people from different diversities crowding the streets, scurrying around to make the most of each day. It seems as if everyone is in a hurry whether they are going to work or out eating and shopping or tourists out sight-seeing .You are exposed to far more different cultures in the city with a broad range of different cuisines In the city, there are very few single-family homes but instead you find big, high-rise apartments that are full of people from all lifestyles. If you prefer crowds and no privacy then the city life may be for you. By contrast, people living on farms find the lifestyle to be relaxed and peaceful. In rural areas, there is a better connection with nature and cleaner air. The pace is slower and country folks like the idea of having plenty of room to themselves. Neighbors may be miles apart so the families are closer and rely on each other. Living in the city has more conveniences at your doorstep than rural life. There is shops, restaurants, bookstores and more within walking distance or a short commute on public transportation. Many of the big city businesses stay open longer hours for your convenience. Public transportation usually operates seven days a week at twenty-four hours a day no matter what kind of weather it is. In
