Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
“If there is no struggle there is no progress,” these words spoken by Fredrick Douglas, reflect the essence of my families’ motivation to stay strong and always peruse a better life. This quote is especially significant to me because it reflects my drive and passion to achieve my own dreams in life. My parents played a major role in inspiring me to help other people, and to work hard to achieve my goals; they thought me by example. I realized that I have been blessed to have the parents that I do. I deeply value what they have thought me: the strength, integrity, and compassion for others.

Teddy bears are seen as warm, friendly, tolerant, accepting and compassionate friends. They can replace a friend, offer emotional support in a crisis, or provide comfort and security. But most importantly, teddy bears represent the feeling of being safe, and they have an equal appeal to both girls and boys.

I find that my closest and best relationships are those who have common values, way of living, and ideals about living life. Once I find a relationship that is trusting, I try to maintain it to my best ability. I am very easy to talk to, however my best communication is with others that have the same values. I express my liking for the other person by showing some generosity and kindness. He called this personality-type theory. The theory states that people feel that their job or profession is fulfilling if there is a match between some important features of their work and their personality (Holland 2002). I believe I will be successful because I will love what I do. Despite my past or anything in between I know I will be a person that helps others. Even if it’s just a little piece of the puzzle I provide I will have helped in some way give a family the closure they will need when they are in need of comfort.
People shouldn’t be afraid to show emotion; It is what makes each of us unique, after all. Sometimes it is good to cry over a loved one. It makes it evident to others just how much you loved them. Courage helps people understand your feelings and improves relationships between family and friends. Being able to show your emotions takes courage, and some may not understand, but having the courage to stand firm in yourself is a valuable

Being a mentor is one thing, but having that mentor be a true friend that you can count on is another. Kayla and I share everything with eachother. Never once have I ever second guessed her as my friend. It's really nice to be able to vent to somebody, and know that they will listen to every word. That is what it means to be a mentor.
