True friends are like teddy bears; the older they are, the more they are loved. Friends are someone I can turn to in time of need. True friends come to me in my time of need. In my opinion, the trait of a true friend is someone who will not judge me; who is honest with me, who is trust worthy to keep all my secrets, and is dependable to listens to my problems. True friends are loving towards me no matter what. They are not one to judge so easily. They see the very best in me, even when I do not see it in myself. When I was freaking out about my driver’s test, my friends told me I would do great and get my license. They are very supportive of my dreams and goals. My friends support me in my dreams of becoming a singer and a songwriter. True friends are honest. They encourage me to sing whenever I have the chance, and they give me feedback on my songs. When I am performing somewhere, my friends always come to cheer me on and give me moral support. They always tell me the truth about my lyrics, my voice, and how I look when we go out. A true friend can be honest with me regardless of what it may be or even if it hurts my feelings. Also, another good characteristic of a true friend is trustworthiness. Trust is something you have to earn, but when it comes to a true friend, it almost comes instantly. Trust is a very important part of any kind of relationship. If I cannot trust someone, I will not have a good relationship. True friends are trustworthy for the most part. They do not go discussing my private life to other people. They keep my secrets to themselves. For example, my friend Kristi came to me for moral support when she found out that her dad was cheating on her mom. For her to come to me shows me she trusts me with her secrets. Another good characteristic of a true friend is their dependable listening skills. Every good relationship depends on good listening
