This technology would change the face of war forever. The first category, weapon advances, is a very important category. Leading up to the war, weapons were changing constantly. Weapons of World War One were out of date. They were becoming more accurate, and capable of longer ranges.
Despite all these liabilities the tank did prove to be important in breaking the stalemate. As the war went on the tank was improved so that it became faster and more held more destructive power, with gun turrets added to the top. The first major success with the tanks was at Cambia in November 1917, where 350 tanks were used with great results. In the final
One example of the new weapon was the long-range rocket and improved rifles to shoot at a farther distance. Pistols were always used in a combat if the solider cant uses his rifle. They are known to reload faster the rifle. More people or enemies were killed because of the new technology. The atomic bomb was a big part in World War 2, there were more deaths from a long distance and the people who did not get hit still had some sort of effect.
They were disadvantaged in this war. The marines weren’t trained for this terrain, and weren’t trained to counter the strategies of the Vietcong and the North Vietnamese. The terrain was mostly jungle, jungle which was hard to navigate in and infested with booby traps. This made life in the jungle torturous. The Vietcong hid in the jungles and in
By the end of 1918 there were several reasons why the stalemate was broken and allowed the Triple Entente to carry on gaining land. The first reason is they brought in new weapons and artillery; this helped us because it shocked the Germans and they knew they weren’t as well equipped as us. A new tank was developed which was much improved from the last one and it could cross trenches easily and could crush barbed wire instead of twisting it more and making it even harder to get through they were smashing obstructions’ so the infantry could advance. New technology made the tanks have a harder shell so no machine guns or grenades could penetrate its skin and the most pressing problem was how to ‘overcome the enemy’s machine guns’ which were responsible for the stalemate. For them to be effective they needed to be used in large quantities, and that’s what they did.
The invention was a success although it was British troops, 20,000 were killed and 40,000 were injured. This is shocking because the technology was new, when you get something new you test it and wonder if it’s good or not just like the technology in WW1 who knew it would proceed this well the amount of people it injured was amazing. Adding to that the British Vickers machine gun crew WW1 was the first automatic guns had been used in large numbers in a European war, first time lucky they used it in the European war not knowing if it would work or not but surprisingly it was achieved well. Another reason England was so involved David Lloyd George was one of the big three this is shocking because England wasn’t involved at all it started with the Black Hand gang in Franz Ferdinand’s assassination. England hadn’t been attacked on their own territory for over 1000 years and unexpectedly the German airships bombed the south of England However 8,538315 million approximately were killed deaths are expected in war but not on this scale.
Trenches in WW1 The trenches in World War One were a terrible place to be. The soldiers went through many hardships and few survived to tell the tale. Some of these terrible problems included disease, malnutrition and the dreaded shells. When soldiers arrived at the trenches they were supplied with an equipment kit of 30kg. This included a rifle, two grenades, ammunition, a steel helmet, wire cutters, a field dressing, a spade, a heavy coat, a ground sheet, a water bottle, a heavy sack, a mess tin, a towel, a shaving kit, socks and rations of preserved food.
New weapons of war revolutionized the style of battles throughout World War One. Without the new revolutionary weapons, World War One's combat between the sides would not have transformed from a quick, noble and brief battle into a whole new representation: trench warfare. Whether it was the further use of machine guns, the amazing tanks, the certainly refined flamethrowers, or the many other new technological developments that were brought into the First World War this new style of revolutionary warfare transformed battles forever. Machine guns were the cause of many of the deadly accidents in both war fronts during World War One. The men that came out of trenches had little chance of survival if the enemy opened fire with their machine guns.
World War II was a time of technological advancement. The need for increased transportation, ease of mobility, and innovative attacks on enemies led to the development of many new and revolutionary technologies. These new innovative advancements, specifically weapons, greatly influenced the way war was fought and ultimately allowed for the end of the war. Initially, combat in WWII was fought with armed men on horses, trenches, and battleships from World War I. WWII lasted from 1939-1945 and within that time frame, revolutionary weapons such as jets, ballistic missiles, and atomic weapons were created to ease combat demands. Air military strength became one of the most important elements of the war.
However, the Germans understood modern warfare better than any opponent and getting them to surrender would not be easy, since they had the best weaponry around. The European theater displayed higher weaponry than the Pacific theater did. Germany unlike Japan, kept inventing new weapons that the Allies had no experience with these new weapons. For example, the Germans had weapons like bazookas, panzerfausts, MP40s, MG42s, and Kar98. The Germans launched a lot of counterattacks on the Allies.
