Today’s cars are high tech devices on four wheels. Since their inceptions in 1885 scientists have constantly been pushing the technological envelop to improve the performance and efficiency of motorcars. The use of technology has transformed motorcars from what was to what is. In a paradise where the use of motorcars is no longer just a ride, technology has reshaped every inch of motorcars from aerodynamics to handling, from take off to braking. Innovation within the automotive industry has brought major technological advances, leading to safer, cleaner and more affordable vehicles.
(The automobile industry, 1920-1980) This was very big not only for the new invention of the first production car but it also offered many new jobs for factory workers needed to produce the mass number of cars that were in high demand. After Henry Ford realized he needed to make these cars faster and more efficiently due to increasing demand, he made the first assembly line for workers, this allowed production to move much faster and more efficiently. With an assembly line each worker does one simple job on every product that comes down the line, over and over. By the time the product is at the end of the assembly line and everyone has done his or her part, the car is completely assembled! As with most things, as soon as others saw the success that Henry Ford was experiencing, they set out to copy him and make their own versions of his original product.
In terms of the lives of average people, there is little doubt that the automobile is the most ground-breaking invention in the history of America. The automobile has taken diverse sections of the American population; farmers, small town residents and urban dwellers and given them access to more opportunities and exciting experiences. Automobiles have given us motels, shopping plazas, drive-thru’s, vacations, commuting, and, certainly not the least, suburbia. Automobile provided an outlet for individuals and spread the freedom of travel among all classes of people. The beginning of the automobile is one of the most profound and important chapters in the development of American culture.
The Process of Diffusion between Early Human Societies Between 1750BC and 800 BC, the civilization that had developed in places such as Mesopotamia and Egypt began to diffuse (Brown, 2006). Diffusion is the movement of innovations and ideas from one place to another. It led to the expansion of higher civilization zones, and it occurred in various ways, such as through travelers and invasion. The chariot was a significant vehicle of diffusion among the early human societies. This two-wheeled vehicle, usually drawn by a horse or two, was used for transporting people (often standing) on land.
There are many things that cause global warming but one of the primary causes is cars and trucks on the road every day and all day and never ceases. It has been over a century gasoline powered cars have made it easy for us to get around but it's time for a change with the growing need of supply and demand, we need to start finding other resources to power our vehicles, therefore, is natural gas powered cars better than hybrid cars? By driving more efficient vehicles, oil imports can be cut, money can be saved, jobs can be created, and it will help with global warming. With gas prices on the rise up, wouldn't you want to save money just by using more efficient cars, such as, the hybrid or the electric automobiles? Hybrid electric vehicles combined with more than one power source offer additional flexibility to improve the fuel economy and to reduce pollutant emissions.
When the automobile was invented, it opened up the whole country to ordinary people. Now, just about everyone owns an automobile and just about anyone who doesn’t can obtain one if they needed to. My second example is the airplane. It not only affects the USA, but the whole world. It affects us in the same concept as the automobile but on a much larger scale.
Electric cars are not new. They have been one of the early versions of cars and were in competition with the gas - guzzler type for use in all kinds of transport in early times. However, it lost the battle because of two factors; the invention of the electric starter by Cadillac and the start of mass production of cars by Ford. It was only recently that major car companies began developing models for the public. In spite of this development, the majority of electric cars that run on the highways are built at home using old cars and spare parts.
This is something we can debate over but I have also included the thoughts of people towards that statement, whether they agree with it or not. I have also included the fact on how the new safety features of cars have changed our lives to this day. Driving safely: To this day, drivers around the world assume that the skills they already have will enable them to leading a successful driving life, even those with rare experience such as driving in snow or fog. I have been to many different countries, and the one thing that I have observed
So, as the steam engine, feats of engineering began to influence the way the products were made, so people changed from working from home within specialized manufacturing units, mills, factories. Alongside, this extended the efficiency & availability of long distance travel. Well, it means that people not only worked by traveling in another countries, they also get possibility to search job on other foreign countries. Both the industrialization of
Human beings are exchanging more and more thoughts and cultures everyday with advance of the airplane. Airplanes contributed to cross-border diplomacy and foreign trades. As the invention enables foreign diplomatic representatives to meet at the same place with ease, they can make negotiations and agreements much faster. Moreover, aerial trades made a contribution to liberalization and expansion of trade. Compared to past trades with ships, for instance, airplanes
