The main purpose of this article is to discuss the Caux Round Table (CRT) Principles for Responsible Business which has described moral standards for suitable behavior in the workplace. Breaks in company honesty, whether among a small amount or a lot of individuals, compromise the beliefs of workers and for this reason the ability of an organization to provide people’s needs. The main idea of the article is to determine a universal code of ethics in the CRT and talk about the standards for behavior in the workplace. The most important information in this article is the principles themselves and the similarities and/or differences to Jerry White’s Biblical guidelines. Simply put a business should always operate with openness, honesty, and lucidity, and keeps its word. This principle is almost identical to White’s second guideline of “total honesty.” Ephesians 4:25 states; “Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.” CRT’s fourth principle refers to respect the rules and conventions. That includes respecting all applicable national and international laws, regulations and conventions, no matter where you are working while trading fairly and competitively (Caux Round Table, 2003). This could be compared to White’s fourth guideline of “personal responsibility,” which stresses the importance of taking full responsibility for our decisions and our actions (White, 1978). If we don’t follow the laws, regulations, and conventions then we take responsibility for the action and accept the consequences. The fifth CRT principle speaks of support responsibility to globalization. The business should support improvement of domestic rules and regulations where they unfairly get in the way of global trade (Caux Round Table, 2003). Businesses get their worth from how they serve their customers. This will establish the accomplishments of the company. Those individuals who work for the business must be willing to serve. How well employees serve customers verifies the importance of the business. When we execute this, we believe God to meet our desires because we put the needs of others first. Important spiritual values that should be incorporated in a business include reliability, trustworthiness, liability, excellence, teamwork, service, awareness, dependability, respect, and impartiality (Covey, 1989). People at all ranks in the company ladder progressively want to feed their spirit and creativity. When employees are stimulated to express their creativity, the outcome is a more satisfied and continual workforce. Happy people work harder and are more likely to stay at their jobs (Josephson, 2010).
