There have been numerous surveys and protests against cigarette smoking, which the tests and surveys prove smoking can cause death and numerous health issues for smokers and those around smokers. Even a threat to their own health or to their loved ones health does not seem to be a good enough reason for smokers to quit the habit. The tobacco users ignore all the information, that it is a destructive habit and is given to them. The purpose of this essay is to discuss some of the, less fatal, effects of cigarette smoking; the smell of smoke, the stained teeth, and the affordable cost of doing it. The first effect of cigarette smoking, and probably one of the most hated by non-smokers is everything around it smell like musty smoke. Smokers have smelly hair, breath, clothes, and a smelly house and car. They are so immune to the smell of smoke that they never even realize it. The stench of cigarette smoke is a noticeable musty odor that is very hard to remove. Even if the person quits smoking the odor still lingers for a long time. The second effect of cigarette smoking is one that most people do not even take into consideration, is the yellowish or brownish color stains on their teeth. Since this effect is a long term affect, most people are not aware of it when they begin smoking. The truth is that cigarette stains are very hard to eliminate from the teeth, and it will probably cost a considerable amount of money to have the stains removed.
