TDA 3.2 Schools and Organisations Criteria 1.1 Summarise entitlement and provision for early years education. There are different types of childcare options available for 0-5 year olds, these include:Sure Start - Giving every child the best possible start in life is an initiative called Sure Start which is government led. They offer a broad range of services focusing on Family Health, Early Years Care and Education and Improved Well Being Programmes to children aged 4 and under. Sure Start makes contact with parents as soon as possible in the child's life and can offer support to families who have developmental concerns or other worries about their child. They can also give them support in making referrals for other services.
Community schools also help the community by offering the use of their facilities and providing services like childcare and parent learning programmes. Voluntary controlled schools- can be known as a religious or faith school the land and buildings are owned by charity but the local education authority is responsible for running the school. Voluntary aid schools- are partly funded by the local education authority and the governing body is responsible for running it, services are provided by the local education authority if needed and all pupils must follow the schools national curriculum. Free schools- are non-profit making, state funded school that are set up in response to what the local people need in order improve the education for children in their area free schools can be set up by universities, businesses, educational groups and parents who want to make a difference. 2.1 Describe roles and responsibilities of school governors, senior management team, other statutory roles e.g.
E1: The statuary sectors are services that have to be available by law through legislation which requires either the government or local authorities to provide them. School exist because there is a law that states that children should be educated from 5-16 years and it should be free and provided by the government. An example of this is in Portsmouth called ‘Meon Infant School’ down Shelford road. This school believe” it is important for the whole school community, children, staff, parents and governors to work together to provide the best possible education for your children”. E2 Education is free so parents don’t have to worry about paying for their children to have an education which gives them more money to spend on family life like their
E1/E2 There are three different types of settings which provide care and education for children. These are the statutory sector, the voluntary sector and the private sector. The statutory sector comes under government or the local education authority and they are required by law to provide some form of statutory services. They are funded by the state. Education (schools) and childcare (nurseries) is mostly the concern of the local education authority.
Voluntary settings support children by giving them the opportunities to play and interact with other children. It also benefits parents by giving them the opportunity to get back into work or a break to keep on top of house work they may not be able to do with children around them. Another type of setting is a statutory setting. A statutory setting is funded by the government and it is the law for

The school is available by law through legislation which requires government or local funding’s. For children between the age of 5 and 7 they will attend a primary school which they can attend for free because it is funded by the government. Once the primary school is funded by the government the school needs to follow a way of teaching which is called the ‘National Curriculum’ D2 – Describe the purpose of ONE (1) setting that is a different type of provision for each age range.
Which just means that all handicapped children have a right to the right education with no extra charge to them. This was a huge deal to parents and teachers. If the school that the child was closest to didn’t have the proper teachers or sources they would send the child to a school that did. That would include free transportation, and it also wouldn’t cost them anything for the special teachers that were needed. This law proscribes three fundamental objectives.
It is a responsibility of the government to fund these local authorities to provide this service to children. For the majority, individuals who decide to work with children, first enjoy children. This is unique to that discourse community. Most people like children but would find it un-enjoyable to work with them on a daily basis. But for individuals who go into the education field, they have a passion to work with children every day and usually hope to make a difference. Whether to work with disadvantaged children who help preschoolers get ready for school, they all want to help children on their own way and have a specific desire to that discourse community.
Most of the uniform comes in the whole set as shoes, shocks and jacket included .So in additional, schools sometimes provide financial assistance to families who need it. Uniform recycling among students is another way families can save; especially grade-school children who outgrow clothes quickly. Therefore I believe that parents will save more, which can go towards for their kids. Children who wear school uniforms do better academically. This is due to many reasons, including not wasting time in the morning getting ready, lack of distractions, and a more formal studying environment.
