BCX Business Units or departments need to move away from the silo mentality because greatest opportunity lie to create change, incorporate sustainability, enhanced power of new ideas of all employees by coordination across all departments. Based on the survey conducted most BCX employees can see lack of collaboration and this is the change they want to overcome going forward. These are the five things to occur to help break down silos and increase collaboration around sustainability: 1. Ensure that information flows across within departments. 2. Priorities need to be aligned—the company versus the department. 3. Decision making should be coordinated across silos. 4. There should be a team focusing on driving change and skilled leaders will identify opportunities 5. Create a team that looks across the company.
