When children start to abuse the convenience of the internet by harassing other people, the internet becomes very dangerous. What makes cyber bullying so dangerous? Cyber bullying is dangerous because it has the ability to take the smallest incident and build up so much tension around it that it results in a murder or suicide. Some people may blame the victim for lacking self control and not being able to ignore the situation. Some people may claim it was just a joke and may blame the victim for being too sensitive or insecure.
Example: child X (being the bully) jokes with child V (the victim) and child V is offended by X’s joke. Such type of bullying affects both the victim and the “bully” – when this happens for more than once child V will start to feel less confident. However, as a result of a repetitive behaviour from the child X the “bully” will be excluded by the rest of the class or group. Effects As already mentioned previously, the effects of bullying does not only affect the bullied person, but also the bully him/herself. However another bracket of people who are affected by the action of bullying are the people witnessing the actual bullying.
They refer to this minority as diseased or sick. The second group is the hysterical haters. The “hater” envies those who are able to act out on desires that he himself has to repress. The third group is narcissistic hate where unawareness of a group leads to contempt for them. Although Sullivan feels that this definition is not the final definition of hate, but it serves to better define the word and helps understand the true meaning behind the word.
Research shows that bullying is a very controversial subject that can be seen as a crime to some but not to others depending on the nature and severity of the bullying. It is a widespread problem that unfortunately most children have to go through at some point in their lives. Bullying is a conscious, wilful, deliberate, hostile and repeated behaviour by one or more people which is intended to harm others. What do people in today’s society really think of bullying? What can they do to help these victims?
It can cause confusion, which can then lead to stress, which can then result in aggressive behavior from the child. Spanking is a form of punishment which typically involves the punisher (usually an adult) striking the person that is being punished (usually a child) either with their hand, a belt, or some other instrument. Spanking is commonly used in situations where adults want the child to immediately stop whatever it is they’re doing wrong, which is why some people would consider spanking to be a good thing. “Spare the rod, spoil the child” is a phrase I’ve heard at least a hundred times throughout my life. This phrase simply means if you don’t give the child a spanking when they deserve it, you’re teaching them that their behavior is ok. A typical spanking (a couple swats with a hand) may be physically harmless; however, it can get out of hand.
What is a bully? A bully is a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who habitually badgers and intimidates smaller or weaker people. Is bullying even that serious? I think people's reaction to bullying is a bit over exaggerating. Statistics show that 20% of bullying is verbal.

Don’t Cross the Line Not knowing where the line is, can really drive people to the edge, literally. Bullying has become a part of everyday teenage life. Some people think of it as a joke and just mucking around until the victim decides they’ve had enough, and believe suicide is their only option. Kids don’t realise how severely the words they use can harm the people they aim it at that they cannot persuade them that they mean nothing. Social networks and websites have made it easier for kids to bully others anonymously and harshly.
Hate crimes affect the victim as well as the community. People commit hate crimes for various reasons; they are unwelcoming of those who aren’t of the same characteristics per se. They feel the need to bully those who they feel are beneath them to compensate for their own short comings. Hate crimes affect individuals from all walks of life. Including but not limited to those of religious, race, and sexual orientation.
Some of the tactics they employ include starvation, beatings, rape, and gang rape. Also, the traffickers are not the only ones to perpetrate violence. Reading ahead, I noticed we will be learning about Power and Social Justice and this subject fits in perfectly because there is no answer to why people hurt one another. Our previous assignments focused on issues in society such as the one in Enrique’s Journey and Loaves and Fishes and George Orwell’s 1984. Most humans have fear in speaking against something that is unjust and a violation of our dignity because it gives power to the higher authority to control.
