And they were senselessly murdered just because they were different. Nothing today can compare to the holocaust because it was so massive and unforgettable. But the holocaust has taught us about how people need to treat each other. If people start to treat each other like the Nazis did the Jews there is no stopping another holocaust from happening again. The Nazis were judgmental raciest and disgusting people who hated anyone who was different then them.
Cruel Times. The Holocaust was a terrible and horrific time for all people under the rule of Adolf Hitler. Hitler played a lead role in the Holocaust and the laws, which he passed, were extremely cruel and harsh towards the Jews and minorities. If that was not enough later laws were enacted dictating instructions for the complete extermination of the Jewish race. The Nazis were so unforgiving and cruel in their ways that Jews and Minorities had to find new ways of living without becoming known to the Nazis and the German public.
After all these past events, the 1800’s wars, The Boer War, WWI, WWII and The Cold War, you’d think we’d all have learnt our lesson that war was destroying people, along with the world. As always
Breeden 1 Rebekah Breeden Professor Ehrhardt HIST 1623-099 11 May 2012 Night Essay Elie Wiesel portrays the degradation of Jewish humanity and culture by describing his experiences during the Holocaust in World War II. Wiesel describes how the SS dehumanized the Jews through cruel treatment for various reasons. From the experiences described by Wiesel, the humanity of he himself and other inmates diminished as they looked out for themselves and not for family. Wiesel’s account shows that the human’s capacity for cruelty and strength is unparalleled. His account also shows that the reason we must remember the Holocaust is so that the mass genocide will not be forgotten, lest we commit the crime of injustice by forgetting who died.
Looking back knowing what I know now I cantbelieve I thought that shamming out was ok. I let everyone down. I made my leadership look bad even though they teach me and show what the right thing to do is every day. I let everyone down. Although I did make the mistake I now know why it is so important.
Holocaust Testimonies By: Carlos Chavez October 18th, 2008 In this powerful book there were many testimonies by numerous people and of course they were all different. Joseph Preil really found the core of the Jewish community and their feelings towards the happenings of the Holocaust. In the book survivors share some of the most horrific stories that not even the worst of horror movies can compare to. The way some of these people were treated and what they had to go through is just unbearable. I think it takes a lot of courage for the survivors to tell some of their stories because there is not doubt that it was a painful memory for them.
Night Essay The book “Night” best demonstrates how horrible the Holocaust was and how it affected billions of people's lives. This horrific event should never be forgotten which so ever. The Holocaust changed history and several people's perspectives. The Nazis managed to get away with so many things they did to the jews and nobody ever stood up. Instead people remained in silence, and inhumanity took over.

Most psychologists consider the holocaust in relation to prejudice. The holocaust was a specific period in the 20th century where the Jews were systematically persecuted and annihilated by the Nazi’s. During this era, the handicapped were also targeted. Millions more including: homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Soviet (Russian) prisoners of war, and citizens who didn’t agree, died under the Nazi tyranny as well.
Hitler had written a book called “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle) while serving time in prison. In Mein Kampf, Hitler blamed everything on the Jews. So in 1919, he began to gain popularity from few, but by the 1930’s he had somehow gotten thousands of people to listen to his every word which also included his feeling of extreme hatred towards the Jews. Anti- Semitism means prejudice against and hatred for the Jews. It was quite clear that Hitler had a severe hatred for the Jews, but he wasn’t alone.
The Holocaust was a tragic time in history that showed the bad side of mankind and how cruel we can be. This took place in the 1930’s and 1940’s. The Holocaust took place in Germany and the leader’s name was Adolf Hitler. There were two different kinds of camps; labor and death. The labor camps were where the people that arrived would work until they were too weak.
