Her change in attitude was largely due to her placement in a healthy foster family environment. Nai lived in two foster homes until her final placement with a supportive and loving foster family. At first, it was really difficult for her foster family as they were not sure how to emotionally connect with the quiet and reserved teen. Nai explains that it was just very difficult for them to understand what she was going through. But, her foster parents supported her as much as they could, and encouraged her to become involved in school academics and sports to keep her active and busy.
From a young age I was highly intelligent and had a very powerful drive. The friends I made in childhood are the ones whom I have carried on to my present day life. Since I came from a high school which did not provide many of the necessary recourses to a gaggle of students who felt lost, we were the blind leading the deaf. I vowed to help my future kin learn how to go about achieving a higher education. I decided to take the route of the Los Angeles Community College District because I felt in the long run it would be far more beneficial in my situation.
Harley is still attending high school with the plans of attending college. She had to learn to be responsible at a young age, but her responsibility has made her a better person and great mother. Harley has matured not just as a person, but as a strong-independent mother that would do anything for her son. The courage that has made her capable to raise her child has made her stronger emotionally. Commonly, teenagers that have children at an early age usually either drop out of high school or get their G.E.D.
Lexica Mendez Beta Club Essay 28 January 28, 2012 Beta Club Essay I have always been interested in school; however in middle school I started to do my best efforts because I now realize that without education I don’t have a future. Education is one of the most important fundamental keys to success in life. In order to become someone important in life I try to aim for my goals and reach them. I try to dedicate all my efforts to my education because that helps me become a better person. Through the years of my lifetime I have tried to become a good citizen.
Holding it is, like, ‘what?’ ” Frances credits her teacher not only for her notes in the margin in all six of those early drafts, but also for the encouragement to keep going. “I would have never imagined when I first started Western Civilization that that would have even been a possibility in all possible worlds, that I could write a paper that would one day be published,” Frances said. “She was just really encouraging with it and really supportive. I think having that support made me want to follow through even more. It made me feel like I could do it.” As she begins to think about career plans, Frances thinks she might want to play a similar role in the lives of others.
Sampson Davis could have done in result of his childhood but he didn’t because he was wise to understand he is above all of that. With the simple reminder from his mom telling him to go to school he did just that. With a high grade point average and keeping on track he gained a positive friendship with friends that have experienced the same situation. With Rameck, and George’s company and positive energy he continued to aim high and make his mom proud. With the right people around him and the positive mind set Sampson became successful.
They were able to teach me study skills, and specially how to still in my seat. We worked very hard at maintaining my concentration, and when I failed, they would redirect my attention back to whatever task I was doing. I started trusting my teacher in their performance and patience. The positive experience, I received from my sixth grade teachers had an effect on my negative thoughts from my elementary experiences. By the time I finished the sixth grade I was ready for the seventh and eighth grade, Jr. High School.
Our teachers were very old and wise so they knew that this wouldn’t just be a learning experience for the 8th graders but also the 1st. They learned that civil literacy meant that they not only needed to worry about themselves but helping someone else out. I went through this stage as an 8th grader and was one of the best experiences of my life. I was able to socialize, have fun, go on field trips and other fun activities with my very own 1st grader. The thing is this doesn’t go on in every other grade school; those other kids that don’t get this option are stuck.
All it really takes is for one teacher, just one, to give you the extra push that you need to succeed academically. For me it was my high school history teacher Mr. Zigler. From my freshman to senior year of high school, Mr. Zigler would tutor me in all subjects to help me succeed and to help me get into advanced placement classes as well. Not only that, but I trusted him with everything, it was like he was my personal therapist in school, being that I didn’t have that at home. It was with his help that

Throughout my high school years, I have been doing a lot of community service at my old middle school, Solomon schechter. When I'm there, I have to help the kids with their homework and play with them any games or sports that they would like. In addition, it helped me realize that I can't always be reliant on other people. If there's anything I want done, I need to be the person to do it.
