The social networking site that I chose is facebook. This website is mostly used by people wanting to reconnect with old friends but several businesses also advertise on the site as well. This site could be used by marketers in a number of ways. The marketers will be able to advertise new product lines, announce sales, and also get feedback from customers. In doing so they are able to get there product out there to more people by marketing their product on a social site versus just on the company’s website. The possibilities are endless with using this as an advertising means to get the company recognized. Customers What service outputs will the new channel provide? The social site will provide the company the ability to reach out to new customers and prospects. They will be in a position to direct them to their website if they like what they are advertising on their facebook page. Which segments will the new channel target? The segments are aimed at plus size women and men who may purchase their significant others clothing as well. The purpose of the new channel is to build up the company’s clientele. Which markets will the new channel operate in? The new channel will operate in social media and via the company website.
