Online Education Benefits Online education is a new and growing preferred learning style used in different levels of educational studies. This platform of education has becoming attractive to current and prospective students because of many different factors such as time management and flexibility, cost effectiveness and opportunities for adult learning. These factors are only a few of the elements that make online learning appealing. In my research I found a growing positive response to online education. These different authors have effectively expressed their points of view on online education, which can easily show how the need and desire for this particular style of learning has catapulted itself to the forefront of educational learning. In the magazine article entitled, “Online Ed Gets and A+”, written by Irene Chang, she hones in on the realities of today, which are the issues of time management and juggling family and career. Time management is a large issue for many who would seek the opportunity for higher learning. Online education provides a flexibility that a traditional college setting would not. Ms. Chang also goes on to explain how the increasing popularity of online education and the growing number of schools has made this type of learning more cost effective (Chang). In some peoples point of view a degree from a brick and mortar type of school is more respected, but Ms. Chang disagrees. She believes that a degree from a traditional based neither college holds nor more or less value than that of an online college degree (Chang). Online learning is rapidly become the mainstream. It is not a fad, but the real thing(Daily Herald). It’s success and popularity is changing the look of higher education.
