Final Strategic Plan Terri Parker BUS475 January 13, 2014 Gary LaRoy Final Strategic Plan Conceptualizing a Business: Part I * Day spas provide a variety of services to their customers. Most day spas are in a building designed for customers to enjoy a massage, facial, or other body treatment. Typical day spas provide treatments like sea salt scrubs and mud wraps. Many even provide lunch or other luxurious items at an extravagant price. Terri’s Traveling Day Spa creates an environment for the customer outside of “norm” at no cost unless products are purchased at the end of the party.
They may need to access home help services to provide assistance with cleaning and cooking. I can help them to access these services in most cases and if not I look for suitable sources to provide the required service. Whilst doing the initial risk assessment I might find that my client needs an adaption to their home in order for them to continue to live in their property independently. This may take the form of having a stair lift installed, a downstairs toilet or bathroom installed, a walk in shower fitted rather than a bath, lowering work surfaces in kitchens or fitting hand rails on entrance doors and in the bathroom. In these cases I help my client to access the services of an occupational therapist either by contacting their care coordinator to make a referral or by contacting the relevant council to make a private referral.

Observation ( paper-1) “Columbia YMCA swimming pool observation” Since I spend a fair amount of time volunteering and working-out at the local Columbia YMCA, I decided to carefully observe what cultural relativity takes place around me. When I arrive, my observation’s will be taking place by the pool area (where I normally do warm-up’s). The pool is a junior Olympic size pool, one of two offered in the Columbia area. Describe the services provided through home health care. Home health is consistent with the philosophy of maintaining people in the least restrictive environment possible. Most people would prefer to live and receive health services at home than be institutionalized. Home health services typically include nursing care, such as changing dressings, monitoring medications, and providing help with bathing; short-term rehabilitation, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy; homemaker services, such as meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and some specific household chores; and durable medical equipment, such as hospital beds, oxygen tanks, walkers, and wheelchairs. Certain specialized high-technology home therapies that were once available only in hospitals are now delivered in the home.
