Being independent does not necessarily mean being completely alone, but supported to do things for themselves. Take time to enable the individuals you support to be independent. Don’t do things for them because it is quicker. Support them to do things that they can do or almost do. Independence makes people feel in control of their lives and gives them a sense of self-worth.
My dream it that we can all live in a happy world, where we can all be friends with everyone, without discrimination of color, religion, nationality and most importantly that we can decide what it better for us. But I know that some times that is not possible because some people do not have that ability, and sometimes their disability to think right is very dangerous in our society. I rather have criminals and mentally ill persons medicated than having to think all the time about what could happen. I know that this way I can be sure in some way that I live in a not totally but in somehow safe world. I think it is sad that government has to force people to be medicated but it is very
People need to take risk to achieve things on their own merit, but there are people who should support them but will discourage them from taking risks because of perceived perceptions of the persons limitations. Risk taking can have benefits for the individual as it will enable them to do things most people take for granted. 1.3) Sometimes we all have to take risks to get what we really want. It’s a part of living a full life. Supporting individuals to take risks to do what they have chosen to do is part of a person centred way of working.
You should be approachable if they need help, but not patronising to assume they are unable to carry out an activity or take on higher level tasks and responsibilities. 1. Describe how to treat other people in a way that respects their abilities, background, values, customs and beliefs. When working with a diverse range of people that have different abilities and backgrounds, it is important to be very open minded and tolerant of other peoples individualities and respect that no one person is right, but everybody is entitled to their way of doing something or beliefs. After the incident of her mother taken away from her she drastically became a whole another person. At her new foster home Antonia wasn't as nice as she once was. Antonia was rather rude to her foster parents Tillie and Luis. She was open minded and caring before but once she was brought into the new foster family it was as if she had lost these character traits. She still showed love to her mother and brothers but she still boxed out the foster parents who have treating her as a princess.

We've all been wanting to be friends with those couple of cool kids to feel fully accepted and that you actually matter. Not being able to be friends with those groups is kind of lame. Even though it is said that high school groups get along, they don't because people don't know how to deal with others differences, focus too much on them selves, and don't care to go out of their way to be nice. Its true people don't know how to deal with others differences. In an article Clay Tucker says " We all have difficult people we need to deal with.
Most students try to avoid being lectured or get in trouble for something they can avoid. This is definitely extrinsic motivation that in turn create intrinsic motivation. In the mother’s eye’s, in the photograph, you see the pain hardship and distress that she has clearly overcome. Ma Joad is similar in the fact that she herself does not show how much hurting pain and suffering she overcomes because she believes it will break the family’s backbone leaving everyone to fend for themselves. Both women are inspirational figures in life. They both go on to show that no matter what the situation is with hope anything is
The values of heritage seem to have been lost with the gain of knowledge when Dee has gone to college. Her actions she displays when she comes home for a visit are shocking to her family. It is almost as if Dee is using them for a show, rather than a visit that has been well overdue. It’s one thing to know what heritage is but another to understand what your heritage is. Mama was always one who could not say “no” to her daughter and she always tried to please her regardless if her daughter appreciated it or not.
