I would love to have the opportunity to graduate from nursing, because I have a strong desire to help people and make a difference in the quality of their lives every day. What is also noteworthy about nursing is that there is no another job as rewarding as being a nurse. Each day I will have an impact on patients´ lives, and have the opportunity to save someone´s life. I think there is no reward greater than that. Searching in different schools, I found that this program has a bunch of resources not only solid basics of nursing theory , but also nursing practice as well as clinical experience that will give me the opportunity of been successful in different practice situations.
Why I Chose Nursing Being a nurse is a very influential and rewarding profession. Nurses care for people through illness, injury, pain, loss, dying, grieving, birth, growth, aging and health. They not only care for people through illness, but they also promote health, prevent diseases and educate the public. We all know that nursing is a field that is concerned with helping people, yet I believe that in becoming a nurse, a person needs more than that desire to succeed. It is essential for a nurse to be open, strong, determined, thoughtful and caring.
I feel that I have always had a connection to nurses in the medical field. I have always known that one I would love to help deliver babies and be a part of that support team for a new mom who is not really sure about the events that are going to happen. I remember when I had my
There are a lot of positive outcomes that comes from becoming a nurse. Becoming a nurse gives you so many great career opportunities because there are so many nursing fields you can choose from. As I get older I will not be able to continue working on the ambulance and carrying people out of basements or high apartment floors. I believe the best continuation for me to put my best foot forward in helping people will be by becoming a nurse. A nurse is a very good career and to my knowledge I know there is a very high shortage in the health care field.
A professional characteristic I possess is being serious when needed. While on the job I would handle every situation, rather it be changing a patient’s bed or administering the right medication, I would do so in a professional and serious manner. Nursing is a highly serious job and the wrong move could threaten the patient’s life. These are only a few characteristics that will help me become a great nurse and make the right decisions in difficult situations. Being top of the class in the nursing program is one of my main goals.
I am determined to obtain all of the experience and knowledge that it is required to get to where I want to be when I am older. Since I became a certified medical assistant, my eligibility has given me the opportunity to work with kids and some of the most amazing doctors I have met at a pediatrics office. People my age usually complain about having to work and not being able to have all the free time they used to, but I love what I do. As people say, if you love what you do you will never have to work a day in your life. I have great ambition to do what it takes to succeed in my life as a doctor because I have great passion for it and I do not see myself being anything else but a
I have chosen Walden University due to the flexibility that will allow me to continue to work and ultimately achieve my goal. Walden is a one stop university that will allow me to complete my goal and stay at one place. My advanced education will allow me to understand the nursing process and advanced theory of nursing. I hope to ultimately own my own clinic and work there as a nurse practitioner until my retirement. It was a lengthy process of searching online and talking to multiple university advisors to locate which universities were rated top ten.
Becoming a nurse will make each day a great difference, not only for me, but for the patients I will be taking care of. I know I can help others by providing them with love, care, and ensuring them I will never give up on them. Once I am able to progress in my major and earn my college degree in nursing, it will not only make me a better person, but enable me to reach out to others that are in great need of
Objectives in setting my goals to ensure my success in my chosen “battle” (Pugsley, 2009). I wanted to satisfy my burning passion to learn and advance my knowledge in the filed that I am in. It is to my understanding that graduate studies will require enormous amount of paper works in APA format thus I intend to master this writing style by the end of this year. I would like to be able to adapt to the changes with my schedules and routines due to this additional responsibility while fulfilling my duties and obligations at home and at work. Ultimately, I would like to graduate MSN/ FNP program on time and become an expert Family Nurse Practitioner who provides quality health care to the underserved populations.
She has overcome numerous obstacles and hardships in her life to become one of the most successful, respected and trusted women in recent history. When Oprah made the statement that “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity”, I believe she is speaking from a place of experience and observation, and I believe her words to be absolute truth. In my adult life I have decided to further my education and prepare myself to be a better nurse as well as a better role model to my children. While completing nursing school I made the difficult choice to continue full time employment in the medical field while raising three small children. While my road to RN was a challenging one, when I completed my goal I was able to instantly transfer into the position of telemetry nurse at the local hospital.
