As a teacher, my primary responsibility is to ensure that learners are enrolled onto the correct course, in terms of meeting their needs, abilities and aspirations. Further to this, I need to ensure that my learner is on the appropriate course in terms of meeting their award and organisational requirements. School governors work within a school and are a critical friend to school, they offer support and advice through the schools good and bad times. They help to set high standards for the school, plan the schools future and set targets for school improvements.
Also teachers need to make sure all the equipment the learners will be using during the course is safe for them to use. Ground Rules. When starting the course, a teacher should make sure they create a safe environment in the classroom: this means making sure everybody is comfortable with everybody else and nobody is trying to bully anyone. When working with adult learners it could be better to have ‘commonly agreed ground rules’ so they can agree with each point and find elements to discuss. This is good because when they get to decide the ground rules it’s more unlikely that they are going to break them.

Anti-bullying policy: This sets out what kinds of behaviour are not acceptable within the setting and are classed as bullying; either toward staff or students.
It lays out what we expect from the parents and what we will give back to them. The Dealing with bullying policy sets out our aims as a school and strategies for dealing with bullying so as to show parents that we will not tolerate it and that we as a school strive to provide a happy and friendly environment with the visions and values that promote positive behaviour and in so doing creating a place in which children and young people are able to learn. 1.2 Our Good behaviour for learning policy states that good teaching and learning are crucial to good behaviour and as a school we pride ourselves in encouraging and inspiring our children to succeed, our Dealing with bullying policy talks about our school curriculum being based around the five outcomes of ECM (Every Child Matters). Both policies are crucial in helping children and young people to: a) Feel safe…by allowing them to know that bullying is taken seriously and not tolerated as stated in the Dealing with bullying policy, it also reassures them that they will be listened to and acted upon. The Good behaviour for learning policy explains what appropriate action will be taken according to each case.
They are aware of the current state of the school and are key in launching new initiatives that can motivate the whole school and keep track of these initiatives once implemented. Teachers Teachers are responsible for educating the children in their care, they play an important role in nurturing pupils intellectual and social development. A teacher - Prepares and delivers lessons that cater a wide range of abilities. Records and monitors the progression of students. Ensures interest in learning through enthusiastic and motivational presentations of lessons.
How can you apply what you have learned? One of the most valuable elements that I learned from the Political Frame Wiki is that each of the key players play a significant role in the political frame. Key players can include counselors, teachers and even janitors. What is important is that each key player is given an opportunity to utilize their strengths to provide students with an optimal learning experience so that they may fare as adults in the real world.
