Sometimes youth that had a troubled home, then continue the vicious cycle with other troubled teens on the run, streets, and in gangs. The “crime world” is like an open range of every kind of criminal activity possible, depending on the path a young troubled person may get involved with. This means they are open to robbing, property damage, violent crimes, murder, and drug use (Sullivan, 2010). Social influences on these youth could have ranged from growing up in poverty, abuse, lack of education, lack of parenting, and through observation of the environment they grew up around (Sullivan, 2010). There are rights, such as to own a gun.
This is not happening in one place, its occurring all over the United States. Society already has enough problems with terrorism, gang violence, drug trafficking and domestic violence. These brutalities are serious problems and can be prevented with the usage of group therapy. Police officers are given the title to uphold the law not being above the law. Hopefully those acts of brutality can be a symbol to shake people out of apathy and take back their misguided
There is also too much bad press on young people as a result. I myself will convince you that kids in fort William are not all bad if they have something to occupy them. The media portrays to the public that all kids are bad and all kids cause chaos in the streets and distress in whole community by causing crime. These kids may cause crime occasionally but people think kids are up to to something when they first see them. These people would not do wrong if they had other things to do .
Noble Cause Corruption By Angel Pilkin Noble cause corruption is when an officer breaks the law in the name of good ends or what they see to be in the best interest of justice. This type of police corruption is committed in order to get the bad guys off of the streets. For example a police officer has a desire to make the streets safer but he/or she knows they cannot accomplish this desire, and catch all of the “bad guys” since it is an impossible task to apprehend every single criminal that walks the streets in the area they police, and many criminal possess street smarts, and may know how to dispose of any evidence against them. This police officer may start violating the laws by fabricating, or planting evidence on the people they do apprehend to ensure a conviction. To justify this action the officer may say to themselves that they are making society safer, and never accept the true reality that they have committed a crime to achieve a desire that was never attainable in the first place because there will always be some criminals that get away.
In many cases, police have taken advantage of the power they have and used it to hurt the people that they are supposed to protect. I understand that police officers can use force against the common people if they have a strong reason to do so. For instance, a police officer can use force (as in the use of taser gun or K9‘s) when they see that the suspect has a dangerous object which can put people or the officers at risk. Police brutality results in innocent people suffering crucial consequences for the mistakes that police officers make. In March 2009, The National Misconduct Statistics and Reporting Project (NPMSRP) started recording police misconducts.
Should School Authorities Be Allowed to Search Student Lockers Maria Castillo ITT-Tech Student Professor: Yu EN1420 Composition II Should School Authorities Be Allowed to Search Student Lockers With the violent events that have happened in some schools, there are too many feelings of fear due to the insecurity that many students and teachers are exposed to at schools. Parents and authorities are worried about what they can do to avoid crimes in school settings because this problem leads to many lost lives and hurt people like the one massacre of the innocent students at Sandy Hook School in Connecticut. This is just one reason for which the school authorities should be allowed to search student lockers to keep schools safe for all
Sixth principles “Police use Physical force to the extent necessary to secure observance of the law or to restore order only when the exercise of persuasion advice and warning is found to be insufficient”. A lot of police agencies get in a lot of trouble because of wrongful death or injury. You can only use deadly force when the public put the officer in danger life or harming the public. If he uses the deadly force he has to have a better reason to the chief to use that type of force. Seventh principle, “Police at all times should maintain a relationship with the public that gives realty to historic tradition that police are the public the public are police the police being only members of the public who are paid attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the
As people have become more educated and aware of the state of affairs more voices have united. The authorities are here to help, protect and promote safety in the communities. People have filed many complaints against police officers using excessive use of force during an arrest. In many cases we have seen how the police have used excessive unnecessary force over a civilian. We have seen how three or four police officers beat up a defenseless civilian using their baton (police stick), also how they mistreat a woman or a teenager.
Guns Don’t Kill People The fact of the matter is guns do no kill people, but it is the people holding the guns that lead to another’s death. If a drunk driver were to hit and kill another person, it is not the car that is to blame, rather the person behind the steering wheel. The same could be said about guns. Not only is it a constitutional right to bear arms, but most crimes are committed using illegal weapons, so taking away legally obtained guns would not decrease acts of armed violence. This issue of gun control in the United States has people completely divided, but it must ultimately come down to the preservation of privately owned guns and the uplifting of current gun bans if this nation’s crime rate is to decrease.
Bullying was once looked upon as a rite of childhood. You had to deal with it and get tougher because of it, it was going to happen no matter if you stayed home, went to school or even went out to play with the neighborhood kids. Today bullying is looked upon as a severe issue that is causing people to take notice and even propose laws to prevent it. According to the “Stop Bullying Now” website (www.stopbullyingnow.hsra.gov) bullying includes such actions as; “punching, shoving and other physical acts that hurt people, spreading bad rumors about people, keeping certain people out of a group, teasing people in a mean way and even getting people to gang up on others.” In the age of electronics, a new form of bullying has
