One cannot deceive oneself with good intentions because ones knows their real motivations in doing so. The most valuable knowledge one can acquire is that in order for others to respect one, one must first have self-respect. Didion states, “Most of our platitudes notwithstanding, self-deception remains the most difficult deception. The tricks that work on others count for nothing in that very well lit back alley where one keeps assignations with oneself: no winning smiles
All you have to do is keep pestering them until finally they end up cracking. You can also emberass them by thanking videos of them doing privet stuff like when there asleep and putting it up on the internet. They will eventually lose all trust in you and will feel discomfor not knowing when you will strike next. That will be a good thing though because they will eventially leave. There will be no harm in that besides embarsment and it wont put you behinde bars.
Firstly, the subjective nature of the topic “we cannot hurt another human being without leaving a scar on ourselves” should be note. This statement evidently ceases to recollect that people live within our society that feel utterly no remorse; these people are commonly labeled as sociopaths. For the most part, sociopaths are unable to function adequately in a society. Secondly, it should be duly noted that hurt is never necessarily a bad thing; whether encountered by ourselves, or brought from ourselves onto another. Emotional (which is the main category of hurt this topic is refers to) pain can be extremely valuable if we take the time to ponder what it may be trying to tell us, or use it in a positive light; to learn more about ourselves, and grow emotionally and spiritually.
This produces a feeling of pleasure and because it makes you feel good you continue the activity. If the drug is taken for long enough it leasds to down regulation and the good feeling is reduced. This leads to withdrawl symptons . now the drug Is taken to avoid feeling bad. Stopping is hard as the addcitive substance alters thinking patterns in the brain o drug use continues even though they know no reward is coming.
Deception rules the land, self-deception included. Not knowing what you’re doing risks bad faith, and living exclusively in the present, and leaving sodden emotional disasters strewn behind.” Pg. 408. I like to think that deception could be used to show the power of the panopticon. Because your partner is the person you have power over and by using deception they can’t truly see what you are doing, so they go on not doing anything bad because they don’t know if they can see you but they might be watched.
One only has to upset the fragile balance of society, and, all of a sudden, the whole gang crosses the line between tension and catastrophe. The good news is that all of these problems can be solved by one simple answer. Life's lessons can help prevent these types of problems from ever happening. In S.E Hinton's book The Outsiders, two groups - the Greasers and Socs, do not learn from their mistakes, and so, fighting breaks loose. Learning from mistakes is simple.
There is no way to avoid pain and the feeling of anguish at one time or another. An example of this is " It's easier to believe there is a way around experiencing sorrow, that we can avoid pain and loose nothing of the fullness and joy of living, what I have come to realize is that it is not pain that hurts us most; it is resistance to pain that wears us out. We fear it, we fight it, run from it, ignore it, or try to bury it"(Enlightenment). Being sick, is this his way of escaping reality or is it a mental illness? Whether Victor is faking his ailment or has a mental illness, his sickness allows him to run away or hide from his problems.
For example, if you have a damaged liver, your liver will return automatically -and not gradually- to the level of damage it was at when you were drinking. Some people are lucky to halt the relapse quickly (a lapse), but any (re)lapse is a mortal danger, which at the very least causes psychological pain and at worst can lead to a path from which there is no return. Having said that, we have to face the reality that relapse is an ever-present threat and part of the general recovery process for the majority of us. Many alcoholics and addicts experience one or more relapses before achieving a lasting sobriety. A minority manage to have none at all.
When you lie about something, you put a lot of thought into it and decide yourself whether the truth or a lie is better for you. When you bullshit, you know barely enough to just get by without having to put any effort into what you are supposed to have done. The bullshitter is lazy, and laziness is not a trait that we should
“Quitting isn’t the end of everything, cause sometimes it’s open a new door for a new beginning”. Winners never quit and quitters never win, but quitting does not mean that if you stop form doing something, a plan or a goal in life that we are about to achieve, you are merely quitting to do this plan and action that you discovered that is not working and not appropriate. Sometimes to quitting is better than proceeding to do something that in the end we will feel “guilty” at a certain point, that we may find it not worth trying to purse this certain goal because it’s not giving any good or positive outcome. Thus quitting is not always the end it sometime cause us to “begin” a new formation of a positive aura in our whole being because of our past experience we are able to distinguish the good and the bad, the positive and the negative effect, that after we fail their will come a day that with a new hope and goal that will guide us to a better path that we are achieving for. All things work together for good.
