Our relationships with friends and family are crucial to our growth and without the support of loved ones; the transitional phase we must surpass can be difficult. Entry into a new world entails courage, motivation and perseverance, in order to adapt to new conditions in which one may encounter countless opportunities for growth and Development. I will be exploring this concept with ‘The Story of Tom Brennan’ and my related text The Blind side. 2. In the Story of Tom Brennan, Tom confronts a traumatic disaster which compels him to undergo physical relocation and antisocial emotional change.
It is important to keep a balance of the important things in one’s life otherwise, weaknesses can be developed that shadows over a person’s natural strength to prioritize. A balance of the important things in one’s life is what allows personal success to be achieved. Successfulness is the ability to seize new opportunities and explore new paths in life. Balance is the key to success because when there is balance in one’s life there is a cut back of stress, which makes room for the ability to thrive; and a person’s ability to thrive is what carries them to their personal success. To be successful is to understand what is important to you, to recognize your weaknesses without hiding behind them, to strive for balance as well as open new doors in life.
To express this in other words, if you are working on a hard problem, you are going to make mistakes. It’s easy to expect perfection from ourselves and/or the fear the judgment that comes with “messing up”. Even at its worse, we learn from those errors to really dive into the problem for a successful result. That is not a new concept, but it is one that is often forgotten. Mistakes are actually indicators that you are actually trying to succeed, so without them you are not doing much at all.
Without prior market penetration of an organization’s competetitors, the usefulness and effectiveness of properly marketing a new product or service can be quite burdensome. This is due to the fact that an organization runs a major risk of constantly striving to maintain its customer base, as the new type of product or service has not yet been introduced into the maintstream. Additionally, pricing may be an issue based upon: Should pricing be very low to attract new buyers?, or Should pricing be set high to offset initial entry into a new marketplace? A STRONG HUMAN SPIRIT IS ESSENTIAL TO OVERCOMING ADVERSITY but what makes a strong human spirit and how do you overcome that adversity. Strong human spirit is needed for personal growth to surpass obstacles and new ways of seeing and believing, without human spirit one would not be able to take on a journey and the challenges they present. Adversity is an unavoidable part of life. It could be the Death of a loved one, breakup of a relationship, job loss, natural disaster, or any other undesirable event are all circumstances people encounter, Events happen that are beyond our control. Every day we are faced with adversity, overcoming adversity can impact in many different situations whether it being mentally physically or socially it has impacts on society, others and us as individuals it’s about overcoming these problems that as a society we must face.
It helps to keep one’s mind fresh and with new ideas on how to deal with issues which I face during my sessions with a client. Self-awareness develops over a period of time and with experience. With time one can learn strategies to help in the development of self awareness so that personal thoughts and experiences does not affect this. Knowledge that is gained through personal experience can sometimes be a barrier when working but if one is personally aware of this, it helps to remove any barrier. It also question one’s own personal values, awareness and beliefs.
I fear that if I cannot assist in the continuance of Benjamin succeeding within his mainstream school, this will devastate me. I also feel that I may have the potential to get short with those whom I am seeking change from if my demands are not met. This is because I have seen Benjamin grow up and as an advocate it makes me proud to know that he is excelling because of not only his hard work, but also mine as well. Conclusion Acting as someone’s advocate can bring much stress and persuasive negotiating, but will be worth the hard work in the end. There will be times when it seems that there may be no answer in sight.
The way you tell someone to do something, may be ok to one person, but it could be offensive, or threatening to another. When you offend that person, it is then when you have to be the bigger person and fix things. If not, the work place will not be very comfortable to work in for the both of you and it could effect the people around you, too. Another example in this area would be how you spend your time. Time management is very important in all aspects of life.
By accommodating with their differences and focusing on what their task at hand is they will be able to stop focusing on their petty differences and focus solely on the task at hand. This would work in a perfect world this would work however, as human beings we tend to hold on to our grudges until our next tipping point. With the help of a little management in the course of this strategy it just might be successful. 4. What potential road blocks might be encountered in resolving the conflict?
First, he explains that we will experience emotional pain when we recognize that the work we would love to do might just be unavailable enough to make us doubt that we can proceed. Maisel states, “This is an emotional suffering that researchers haven’t examined: the pain of wanting to do certain intellectual work but not being capable of it.” He then goes on to discuss ways to help your brain to be its best. This can range from silencing the self-talk that can rob you of your confidence, to making fewer excuses about why you don’t have the time, patience, or ability to think. Secondly he points out that choosing the intellectual work that matches your native intelligence, or in other words, staying in your comfort zone. He tells us to find an area of work that isn’t too difficult which enables you to do work that makes use of all your strengths.
