The Role of Women in USA Women have changed from the past 100 years because they used to be housewives now they are saying their own opinions and standing up for themselves. Women are showing great responsibility that they can work as hard as men and get jobs and make it a career. Since men told their wives to cook, clean and take care of the children, women haven't be able to get paid when they apply for a job since 1920's. I believe that women have different qualities to men. Even though men usually get jobs, some women have standards that reach what a company is looking for. USA has a very high percentage of universities located in all the states. The data below shows how women have grown since 1900 until 2008 and project for 2018. In 1900 women working was 5.1 million and this grew to 18.4 million in 1950. In 2009 it was 66.2 million and projected that 78 million will be working by 2018. Percentage has increased from 18% to 46.9% all most 50% in 2010. And this will grow even more by 2018.
These statistics mean that education and employment are important for women s a priority in USA. It is assumed that women work due to a number of reasons such as to help men pay for household bills.
