Biomedical model: The biomedical models have been brought to cut down the illness and early death. This model looks at the every part of the body and the organs to make sure that they functioning properly and we are in good health. This model looks at the wrong and problem with the body and repair it for an individual. If we are feel unwell and ill we visit the doctor, the doctor examine our self and if we are ill the doctor will diagnosis and gives us treatment to feel better. If we feel unwell we have find the problem and there will be a solution to fix to start the normal process again. The western world’s mostly use this kinds of approach to health, this model is very popular because it uses specific methods and the equipment and methods of treatment used for people are cheaper, by using this kinds methods its cheap and the public heaths are been improved. The main and important thing of this model is to identify people who are at risk from disease or illness and to focuses on the treatment that required rather than the avoiding. The biomedical model fits well with the functionalist perspective, in which illness is considered as in itself dysfunctional for society. If people become ill they cannot cooperate with the society as normal, has too few days off work ECT... functionalist thinks that when a person takes off from work because there are sick they should work together with the health professionals and obtain treatment to get better and socialize more as soon as possible. Socio-medical model: The socio- medical model concentrates on social factors that contribute to health and well-being in society. They look at the lifestyle and situation that cause illness.
