It is inhumane to keep animals in small enclosures like that where they wouldn’t even get room to stretch their legs or get the chance to behave like they would naturally in the wild. The more intelligent animals (dogs, cats, pigs, primates etc) suffer from severe cases of loneliness because they lack the rights to run around and be free. How would you feel if you could not run around in a free environment? My second argument is using animals for testing cosmetics. It is estimated that over 1 million animals are killed due to companies that test their products on animals and those companies tell us that they use animals to test the safety of their products.
By definition, factory farming involves animals stored in cramped, hot, disease ridden cages, crates or other confined spaces to produce eggs or other foods for humans to consume. The definition of this debate is whether factory farming should be put to an end. I am supporting the fact that it should indeed be put to an end. Why? #1 point, cruelty Well, first of all, About 500 million land animals now in the Thailand are raised for dairy, meat and eggs each year and they all got killed in more than 400 slaughterhouses from the factory farming that are exist around the country.
Owners of animals cannot mistreat or use them in a way that would consider to be cruel to animals. This is why we have state laws to protect them. In 2001, it became a felony to be cruel to animals. I will be explaining what is animal cruelty, the two types of laws, felony fines and punishment, also compare it to other states that have this law. Animal cruelty is a person who commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly: tortures an animal; fails unreasonably to provide necessary food, care, or shelter for an animal in the person's custody; abandons unreasonably an animal in the person's custody; transports or confines an animal in a cruel manner; kills, seriously injures, or administers poison to an animal, other than cattle, horses, sheep, swine, or goats, belonging to another without legal authority or the owner's effective consent; causes on animal to fight one another; uses a live animal as lure in dog race training or in dog coursing on a racetrack; trips a horse; injures an animal, other than cattle, horses, sheep, swine, or goats, belonging to another without legal authority or the owner's effective consent; or seriously overworks an animal (Texas penal code 9) According to the Animal Legal and Historical Center, Texas animal cruelty laws are very narrow in their scope.
[animal-testing.procon.org] Researchers in Aston University have made it known that it is not worth taking the lives of these animals for testing, because the things we’re trying to make happen with human bodies is very different from the animal body. The anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between animals and people make animals poor models for human beings. There is a big percentage from the 1950’s up till now that animal testing is flawed by not being correct when it is given to the people it is for. So why not just stop the animal experiments that are not just killing, but also torturing the animals.
According to Mayra Calvani in her journal in World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) mentioned that in Latin America and Europe, around 250,000 bulls die per year due to tortured and killed for entertainment purpose especially in bullfighting. (M.Calvani, 2008)². This shows that, keeping animals for entertainment purposes promotes animal abuse. Secondly, captivity also takes away animals’ freedom. Many of wild animals cannot cope with situation that they are taken from their natural habitats and placed in captivity.
That could involve injection, application of chemicals to their skin or feeding the animals chemicals in the laboratory. Many people internationally think animal testing should be banned because it is cruel and certainly painful for the animal. The results aren’t always reliable which is a waste of animals’ life. Drug testing has to be cruel because it trying to find out if a substance harms people. The animal may be poisoned; deprived of food, water or sleep; experience skin and eye irritants; be subjected to psychological stress; deliberately infected with diseases; irradiated; burned, gassed, forced fed or electrocuted.
Animal testing should be banned- Point1- Many animals are killed and severely injured every year from animal testing, and as we don’t “own” these creathures, we do not have the rights to take animals away from the nature. Point2- Animal testings are unnecessary and delivers inaccurate results. Point3- Animal testing can cause flu and diseases due to insanitary conditions in the lab and cage. Animal testing is among the most disturbing test ever done and must be internationally banned. Large number of animals are killed in the laboratory every day.
Animal Cruelty Animal cruelty is a growing problem in today’s society, and it needs to be stopped as soon as possible. More than 8 million abandoned and neglected animals enter animal shelters every year, and more than half of them are euthanized. Animal cruelty comes in several forms, some of which people don’t know. There is animal experimenting, animal abuse, and mistreatment of animals. All of these forms of abuse can be stopped and prevented with your help.
It might seem less serious, but that is not the case; it can lead to terrible pain and suffering, and sometimes death. Some examples include starvation, dehydration, untreated infections, inadequate shelter in extreme weather conditions, and the failure to get medical care. Passive cruelty is sometimes due to the owner’s ignorance, so many animal control officers will first try to educate neglectful owners on how to properly care for animals before giving them a ticket or placing them under arrest. The second kind of animal abuse is active cruelty. It is more well know and disturbing.
If some countries have come up with the idea to take care of animals and have made even groups and organizations against animal abuse why do, they inhumanly abuse animals for testing. Experimental tests on animals its something unessential, and what if results are erroneous and in animals works perfect and on human results badly. As well, we know that the human body its pretty similar to an animal's body. Some doctors say that animal testing can slow down he results for a research or for a product. Some years ago, they inferred that animal testing cannot speculate how high the risk can be of a product or drug on
