It also showed emotional and verbal abuse in the form of name calling. This was an inhumane and diabolic mistreatment of vulnerable individuals unable to defend themselves. Winterbourne appears to have made decisions based on profits and returns, over and above decisions about the effective and humane delivery of assessments and treatments. Where were the staff who should have been reporting these crimes to management , if management was not listening then they should have been reported to the authorities and organisations, such as social services and CQC that is what they are there for. Staff who had no involvement in the actions taken towards the residents, but failed to comply with the agreed ways of working and report what they knew was wrong is just as much to blame as those who were involved.
This is a major problem that we need to solve. The Bliss type of homeless should not be incorporated into the statistics we as a nation gather this is because they are not the true homeless people, they are the lazy and unmotivated people of society. They can choose to be houseless if they want to, but they should be excluded from any sort of statistic that we
Terror Tactics and Appeasement Bradley Christoffersen Stalin’s terror tactics used against his own people are to show them if you doubt your country it will not get any better. To punish the ones who criticize and doubt the county makes others doubt and think of the flaws and don’t work on how to make it better but just civil outrage. Sending people who preach these negative ideas is to make sure others don’t get the idea’s and make sure that those traitors pay for their reason and be sent to the Gulag. Without military enforcement and public knowledge of their capability’s is to know what happens when you aren’t following the rules and positive out reach you are supposed to strive for in making the country a better place. People will always do what they want to do trying not to get caught. In the book the defense attorneys were not fair with Jefferson’s trial and they were not nice either by considering him a hog. In trials in the society today people get chances and say on what they did or didn’t do to prove how they’re not guilty. In the novel an innocent black man was not treated with respect. Jefferson was treated as a poor lowlife creature.
Nowadays, horrifying crimes are being committed by criminals and they are being punished for it. It has been believed that behind every crime there is a reason, which usually gets neglected. In the world of justice, reasons doesn’t matter, only thing that matters is whoever did the crime has to be punished and everyone should get justice. From the articles “How people turn monstrous” by Mark Buchanan and “Revisiting the Stanford prison experiment” by Philip G. Zimbardo, which means human behavior is forceful. Also, Creon did not see the point of burying not only his enemies but a traitor to his state. He thought that Polyneices did not deserve a burial because of what he did. While I can understand this it is still wrong.
It is the home of the free and land of the brave. Yet it seems since these attacks, America has repeatedly failed many of our citizens by not protecting them or them being falsely accused. We must realize that there is a greater picture here. In the article titled “The Folly of Capital Punishment”, Jeffrey Reinam concludes that capital punishment is immoral to our society; and thus, should not be legalized. Reinam reasons the death penalty is unjust, inhuman, and goes against the progress of civilization. Reinam’s primary argument and rebuttal to Ernest Van Den Haags deterrence argument, is that the death penalty goes against the advancement of civilization. Reinam explains that throughout history we take steps to "lower tolerance for one's own pain and that suffered by others". Due to the states high visibility, size, and moral authority, it is capable to have an impact on citizens beyond the immediate act it authorizes.
