There were over six million Jews that were murdered during the Holocaust. Toward the end of the war prisoners that were in the concentration camps were liberated, this attempt to free the prisoners continued until May 7, 1945 which was the day the Germans surrendered without a fight. The crimes that were committed during the Holocaust had a permanent effect on the Jewish population, even till today. The Holocaust was caused by Hitler Germany needed an enemy that could be blamed for everything bad that had happened to it after WW1 and the Jews were a perfect target.. The Holocaust happened because Hitler wanted to get rid of the Jewish race.
Schindlerjuden An act of mass destruction, a loss of life; the Holocaust was the mass murder of the Jewish community under the regime of Nazi Germany. The Holocaust first began in 1933 under the power of Adolf Hitler, and eventually ended in 1945 when Nazi Germany was defeated by the allied powers. The term “Holocaust” originates from the Greek term “holokauston”, meaning, “sacrificed by fire”. The Nazis didn’t just focus on the full destruction of Jews, they also narrowed in on the other minorities such as the homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gypsies, and the disabled. An estimated 11 million died under the rule of Hitler, 6 million of those were Jews, and 1.1 million were children.
Holocaust happened because Hitler and the Nazis were racist. They believed the German people were a 'master race', who were superior to others. They even created a league table of 'races' with the Aryans at the top and with Jews, Gypsies and black people at the bottom. These 'inferior' people were seen as a threat to the purity and strength of the German nation. When the Nazis came to power they persecuted these people, took away their human rights and eventually decided that they should be exterminated.
The gas chambers lead to the deaths of thousands of Jews. About six million European Jews died in the death camps and in Nazi massacres. Fewer than four million Jews survived. After World War II, the Holocaust survivors created a new nation called Israel in the Middle East. Overall, the German invasion of the Soviet Union and the Holocaust were two events in World War II that had extremely powerful effects on the war and the world afterwards.
He blamed Jews for Germany defeat during the First World War and the Treaty of Versailles. He blamed wealthy Jews for trying to secretly rule the world through control of banks and other international financial institutions. He blamed Jews for new cultural changes that he saw as threatening to traditional German cultural values and traditions. He blamed Jews for Communism because the founder of the Communism, many leaders of the Russian Revolution and of the German Communist Party were Jewish. Nazi policy towards Jews (1933 - 1939): Nazi policy towards Jews between 1933 to 1939 was based on pressuring all the Jews of Germany to leave the country.
His act of evil resulting in the deaths of over twelve million Jewish people, which was more than half the Jewish population at the time is unforgettable and horrifying till today. I intend to prove that God did not prevent this evil from happening because of the following theodical arguments of Evil as a Privation of Good, The Free-Will Defense, and Evil as Therapy. Hitler's Holocaust began when he gained power of Germany in 1933. Ever since, he carried out his mission to murder the entire Jewish race. What started with segregating Jewish people into ghetto neighborhoods to isolate them for the rest was actually his master plan for the planned murder of any and all Jews in Nazi Europe.
“Holocaust” is a word of Greek origin meaning “sacrifice by fire”. The Nazis who came to power in Germany in January 1933 believed that Germans were “racially superior” and the Jews, deemed “inferior”, were an alien threat to the so called German racial community. (Holocaust) Writing the era of the Holocaust, German authorities also targeted other groups because of their perceived “racial inferiority” groups such as Gypsies, disabled and also the
German schools no longer allowed Jewish students and they were expelled. The Nazis required all Jews to have their passports marked with the letter “J” for “Jude” (The Holocaust Timeline, Year Unknown, p. 3). In November of 1938, the Nazis conducted further violent acts against the Jews with the “Kristallnacht” which was known as the “Night of the Broken Glass” (Rosenberg, Year Unknown, p. 2). These acts of violence were directly against the Jewish people. Jewish owned businesses were looted, windows were busted, synagogues were set on fire, and the Nazis attacked Jewish people.
The Holocaust is know tragedy. Everyone was responsible, Adolf Hitler, the Nazi army, German civilians and the rest of the free world including Canada. However each played a certain level of servity. Adolf Hitler wanted to get rid of all of the Jewish people in the world. He believed that Jewish people were inferior to other human begins.
The St. Louis was forced to turn around and head back to Europe. There was also discrimination against Jewish people in Europe, especially Germany. The Holocaust was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of approximately six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. Why this discrimination occurred was because Hitler hated Jewish people and blamed them for Germany losing World War I. He considered Jewish people to be less than human.
