ANSWER In the case of B2C, it is important for an e-business start-up to go on mass market in order to attract and to create awareness to its customer. Some business spent miraculously on marketing, promotion activities, business strategy and concepts, and so on in order to make known of existence of their products and services. By creating something big and massive, not only they will get attention from the market-but also the competitors. With fierce competition from the other players it is crucial for the new comer to strategize their entrance and by coming in big will help them out-shine the other players. For example, Amazon.com came into the market by selling books online and it is first of its kind. With the unique and new business concept, it is crucial for Amazon.com, as a pioneer to come in big. Another reason is that being “big” is a good impression to a business. As a new comer, it is important to portray that not only we have a strong brand image, but also we have a business that people can rely about. Having a strong brand image also plays an important role because it is always reflect the company reliability, ability and trustworthy. Furthermore, buyer and market are normally attracted to something big. Extravagant entrance for the new comer will in a way give an impact to the market-market will give attention and people will talk about it (which is important in marketing their product). On the other hand, e-Business is a business where everyone can do, can copy the business model. To look at it, it is important to come big in order to counter and do better than the other players.
