The Qualities of A Good Teacher Some instructors teach, but don’t have good skills for teaching. If a teacher does not have a passion for educating others, the occupation is a waste. In order to develop good teaching skills, it takes time and experience. A good teacher puts effort in schooling individuals. He/she knows that it is a great opportunity to educate our youth all around the world and make a difference in their lives. Children can be complex when it comes to taming them in these days, but a good teacher knows that a childs behavior has roots. Teaching can get a bit challenging, even overwhelming, at times but a good teacher remains calm in any situation. He/she observes and understands his/her students. Experience provides a teacher with good quality. A teacher knows when something is wrong without any questioning. They don’t mind taking extra time out to fix a problem or to educate. Most teachers naturally have good communication skills and are good with connecting with the people around them. Effective listening is a quality in a good teacher. A teacher who listens is willing to continue his/her education and learn from others around them. Students want to be heard as well. Sometimes students require additional attention, and that is why teachers must always keep their communication channels open. They are constantly willing to listen and receive new information. A good teacher listens effectively by concentrating and putting energy towards hearing others. Additional qualities in a good teacher are her/his sense of humor and presentation skills. A good sense of humor can lighten a dull room. Students love energetic teachers who captivate their attention. It makes lessons fun and interesting.
