Tunics should have short sleeves to prevent them from dragging in body fluids when undertaking moving and positioning procedures. I must not go to the shops in my uniform, because I could be spreading bacteria and infectious agents. Personal hygiene is also important in the fight against infection.

The AFI 36-2903 provides standards on your dress and appearance while in uniform. It is important to maintain so that you look professional at all times. Professionalism is a key part to what we do in the Air Force. Not keeping yourself trimmed up or clean shaved could result in you being punished for such acts improper appearance. We appreciate and need your support in this endeavor. Students may choose which text they would like to read, and although they are not required to read both, they are more than welcome to do so and it is encouraged.
