Atheistic Existentialism is a lot like Secular Humanism in comparison. In regards to money and career the atheist defines these as matter that is made from their emotions and or desire to work. For many atheist money was hard to come by and if they were a single parent had to work at least two jobs to support their families. Their sexuality is based upon their desires and fueled from within that there isn’t any form of right or wrong. The individual determines what feels right to them in regards to marry or not, to live with someone without having to get married, as well as making choices that validate their own existence. Some believe that the behavior has existed in nature for lengths of time and is moral as well as good. Homosexuality has been around for thousands of years and therefore is seen as moral and nothing is wrong with a person who chooses to act in this matter if he or she sees it to be right. With regards to family, the atheist believes that its one of the building blocks of society. A group of people living in the same household with no blood relation is considered family to an atheist. They believe that a child has no significance as they can’t grasp that they exist, therefore they feel that a pig, a dog, or a chimpanzee is worth more value. Singer(1979, as cited in Klusendorf, 2001) In regards to suffering and death, the atheist view is that we are human centered, we didn’t come from god as there is no god. If there was a god why is there so much death, illness, suffering, murder, natural disasters, and unexplained phenomena in the world. There is no after life, no heaven, and no special place as Christians believe there to be, to the atheist there is just death and nothing to follow. Regarding friends, they are treated as if they were family. In conclusion the Christians and the atheist views are very different on all aspects. Christians
