Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is the name of several past and present secret domestic terrorist organizations in the United States, generally in the southern states, that are best known for advocating white supremacy and acting as vigilantes while hidden behind conical masks and white robes. The KKK has been known to utilize terrorism, violence, and lynching to intimidate and oppress African Americans, Jews, and Roman Catholics during periods of turmoil. The first Klan was founded in 1865 by veterans of the Confederate Army. Their main goal is to permute white supremacy in the aftermath of the American Civil War. The KKK quickly adopted violent methods.
The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee, as a terrorist organization by veterans of the secret army. They named it after the Greek word 'kuklos", which means circle. The name means "Circle of Brothers. Klan groups spread throughout the South as an insurgent movement. the new organization consist White League and the Red Shirts, started a fresh round of violence aimed at suppressing blacks black voting and running Republicans out of office'.

The Ku Klux Klan was reformed for the second time, racial segregation was common, and lynching and assault was common through the USA particularly the Southern area. These changes would develop racial tensions between the traditional White Anglo Saxon Protestant and that of the African Americans and other minority groups. Such racial tensions would eventually lead to many race riots including the Tulsa Race Riots of 1921. Malcolm, a daring advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. Malcolm’s father Earl Little was an out spoken Baptist minister and supporter of Marcus Garvey back to Africa movement. His push for Civil Rights made him and his family a target of death threats forcing them to move. Later along the way Malcolm’s father was killed. This cause Malcolm’s mother to become sick and moved in to a mental institute.
FIGHTING HATE “Hate crimes are crimes committed against a specific race and ethnic group. Victims are targeted because of their race and ethnicity. The first recorded "hate crime" occurred in 1922. The Federal Bureau of Investigation encountered a rising Ku Klux Klan, white supremacist movement in Louisiana. Two people were kidnapped, tortured and murdered while thousands more received threats to their person.
Martin Luther King Jr born January 15, 1929-1968 in Atlanta, Georgia led the civil rights movement in the United States. He was murdered by a single bullet as he stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, just outside his room. His death led to race riots across America that cost dozens of lives, destroyed thousands of properties and caused damages worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Martin local church was very much a part of his life as both his father and grandfather had been Baptist preachers. They themselves were involved in the civil rights movement.
