She would let her imagination run wild and this kept her spirit alive. Many people who look back at her story today admire Anne for her strength and optimism. Anne usually felt like “the world was slowly being transformed into a wilderness”, but she never gave up hope. She believed, “that everything would change for the better and that the cruelty would end”. Her writing revealed creativity, wisdom, and depth of emotion.

Document 7 continues the theme of peaceful ideals when it states, “In their hearts, they are compassionate and circumspect.” The peaceful ideals are a testament to the way of life filled with honor that the samurais lived. Although the samurais did have peaceful ideals there was evidence of prejudice ideals as well. Document 5 tells the tale of prejudice against women, this comes through when the general states, “How ashamed I would be if people said that Yoshinaka was accompanied by a woman in his last fight.” Instead of taking the help that woman could give him, Yoshinaka found it more honorable to die in his last fight without her; this clearly demonstrates prejudice honor. Document 6 mentions that; “...they look down on all foreigners...” This tells the reader that samurais found pride within themselves as the best possible people out there, but the point of view of this document is from a foreigner, St.
In the book "Warriors don't cry" the main character Melba was a warrior. Melba was a warrior because the of the weapons she uses, the internal characteristics she acquires, and the battles she fights. Melba weapon was being able to forgive when others treated her wrong. The text states "The crowd moved closer and then began to follow me, calling me names." Another weapon of Melba's was her connection to God.
In the beginning of the story she states, “I shall go to the Abzu, the secret place in Eridu… I shall utter a prayer to Enki at the deep sweet waters” (9), these words seem to be a mere declaration of her intentions of obtaining some wisdom, but they carry a different connotation as we see her actions develop. Inanna is conscious about the wisdom she could receive or in her case, gain by traveling to visit the God of wisdom. Inanna seems to be familiar with the hospitality of many Sumerian Gods. Given that most of Sumerian Gods were from the same family tree, it will not be surprising Inanna knew her grandfather’s, Enki’s, debility for drinking and drunkenness. .
She was so dedicated, she was a good Christian, but instead a getting something good in return she suffered and suffered till the end...She prayed day and night, hoping that her prayers and would be answered after all her suffering, but at the end it seemed that the Big Man had other plans for her... Jesus Christ said that the greatest thing is to sacrifice yourself for your friends. Indeed if Nanni did something in her life it was to sacrifice herself for all of those that ignored her and mistreated her and especially for the Respected Josiah Bryn-Bevan that she so loved and was proud of till the end. Caradoc Evans in ‘’Be This Her Memorial’’ wants in a way to attack the hypocritical Welsh people, he wants to show how religion can be bad at times and how we have to think not just follow, because if we just follow without thinking we might end up like Nanni, sacrificing everything without getting anything in
The words of her father while on his deathbed seems to be what I felt Barton lived by in her life; “As a Patriot he bade serve my country with all I had, even my life if need be; as the daughter of an accepted Mason, he bad me seek and comfort the afflicted everywhere, and as a Christian he charged me to honor God and love mankind”. She of course had her faults as everyone does, but they did not always have bad effects. While she was not keen with others surpassing her, it helped her to also go farther than she would have most likely imagined. By standards of today’s idea of Christianity, it would depend on how you look at it. She accomplished a great deal of good in the United States, and in the world itself, but is the question would be if what she did was good enough to
Her name defines a woman that came into the world pure and left out of the world as pure as she came in. Joan of Arc fought for what she believed in and that was her religious beliefs. She believed that God and her spirits chose her to complete a task that only she could have done at that particular time. In other words, her steps were ordered and designed in a particular manner. Her name still carries the powers as it did in her day; as if she was still breathing and fighting on the earth, because many believers still call her name in prayer with hopes that she will intercede on their behalf in order to obtain a favorable life.
(To My Dear and Loving Husband.) We also see Mary's love for her husband in her writings when she shows relief that he is alive and well after the Indians had lied to her and said he was dead. She was truly concerned about him throughout her writings and wanted to return to
