Measles Outbreak Western Governor's University VWT Task 2 August 19, 2014 Measles Outbreak Everyday people undergo symptoms of fever, cough, red eyes or a runny nose, and they carry out their normal activities of daily life, as most would do when experiencing “common cold” symptoms. Measles can be masked by these symptoms until a tiny rash of red spots begin to form on the body; however, at this point many people could have been exposed to the disease since people are contagious up to four days before the onset of the rash. Since measles is highly contagious and it spreads easily through coughing and sneezing, a person can catch this airborne virus even after an infected person leaves the room causing it to spread rapidly ("Measles…show more content…
