Trebonius, Metellus Cimber, Decius, Casca and I finally assassinated Julius Caesar! Everything went just as plan. Artemidorus did try to ruin our plan by giving Caesar a letter, but thank the gods Caesar is so head-strong because he told Artemidrus that he would read it later. But there wasn’t a latter for him. We were all there; it felt like we had a front row seat to Caesar’s death.
This is the seed from which the whole tragedy of Macbeth grows from. Macbeth contemplates the witches’ words and soon ends up acting upon them. The next key event in the downfall of Macbeth is when he agrees to kill the current king. He is persuaded by his wife that this is a necessary ingredient in becoming king himself. After killing Duncan, he begins to lose his sanity slightly.
Although, Macbeth takes the dagger and kills King Duncan, Lady Macbeth was the one who planned to kill him that night and frame his guards. I believe that Lady Macbeth played a huge part in the murder of King Duncan. Macbeth was ambitious about becoming King, yet, at moments he felt uneasy about the idea of murdering Duncan. Lady Macbeth convinced him otherwise challenging his manhood and planning the murder to the finer details. Lady Macbeth went to great measures to make sure Duncan was killed; she even called upon the evil spirits to aid her.
Lady Macbeth challenges him, saying that he is not a man. Macbeth becomes defensive, and to defend himself, he kills Duncan. So, in the end both are to blame. Macbeth had committed the actual murder, and Lady Macbeth made the plan and convinced her husband to commit the
Lady Macbeth is Macbeth’s wife and she wants him to kill the king. Macbeth bounces back and forth with his decision to kill the king or not. Eventually he decides that he is not going to do it until Lady Macbeth talks him into doing the deed. Macbeth killing Duncan changes his ordinary life into a special world where it is okay to kill the king. His next trial was what he was going to about his suspicious best friend Banquo.
Another major reason was when Lady Macbeth killed herself. Without having to kill anyone, Macbeth has a shot at becoming king. Lady Macbeth has the idea to kill the king because Macbeth is next in line. Once he becomes king, Lady Macbeth will get her wish to become queen. “Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be what thou art promised.
Being able to only see her future as Queen of Scotland, Lady Macbeth looked beyond all the killings she and her husband did not knowing what was in store for her. Lady Macbeth remained adamant in her wishes and went ahead with the plan to kill Duncan, the servants, and Banquo along with his relatives. In the end, not only did Lady Macbeth lose her husband, she also lost her mind. Ambition that is unchecked by morals often times result in destruction of oneself or others. Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth allowed their ambitions to lead to their downfall.

The first step was to kill King Duncan, who was the current King of Scotland. After he did this, the next step was to make sure that he wouldn’t get caught. Duncan’s guards had to be framed for this to happen, and later on in some emotional rage, Macbeth kills the guards. The witches’ prophecy coming true so fast led to Banquo, Macbeth’s good friend getting suspicious. Macbeth’s greedy emotions to achieve everything without letting anything get in the way would not let this happen.
