Genetic Testing’s Carrier Mother + Non-hemophiliac Father Hundreds of years ago, the word genetic was not even found in the English language. At that time, scientist and doctors started acknowledging the development and understanding of human genetics. For many years we hear people struggling with certain diseases due to the fact the some people are carriers of genes for genetic illnesses, even though they don't show, or manifest the illness themselves. This happens because some genetic illnesses are recessive (hemophilia, gene mutation, disorders)( .
