Texas Culture Government Research Paper Texas has a rich and long history and much of it has passed through the state over the years to become a part of its folklore. This Texas folklore is part of many cultures within the state and has even filtered outside the state. The first cultural influence on Texas was from the Paleo-American Indians. When these Indians arrived they were in a bit of a culture shock when they met the Spanish in the 16th century. In the following centuries, more people began to arrive in Texas and they brought new ways of talking, believing and doing things.
Who Were and Is the Navajo Indians The Navajo Indian culture is one of great pride filled with sacred traditions, beliefs and ceremonies that have been handed down from generation to generation. Their cultural background and beliefs have been infused throughout their people and they take pride in making sure that their story and experiences are known throughout all of their cultural members, young and old. The background of the Navajo people, including their primary mode of subsistence, their beliefs and values (consisting the use of medicines and ceremonies for rituals), gender relations as well as economic and social organizations can teach us a great deal. The Navajo are a matrilineal society in which they move often in search of naturally occurring pastures to feed their heard.. This culture began as large hunters and gathers until the Spanish arrived and introduced the practice of animal herding into this culture.

The Native Americans shaped the actual territory and were wiped out. There were millions of people here living and speaking numerous language and having multiple customs to each tribe. The Cheyenne Indians are originally from the, the Great Plains and are composed of three united tribes, Masikota, the Sotaae, and the Tsêhéstâhese, and they call themselves ,” Tsitsistas”, which translate to “like hearted people”. The Cheyenne Nation consists of ten bands throughout the Great Plains and later the tribe split into two groups. Which consist of the southern band living near the Platte Rives, and the Northern band living near the Lakota tribes. The Cheyenne Indians are considered one of the most famous Native American Indians because of their history and culture. According to historians their history can be traced back to more than two hundred years.

More importantly, The Bureaucratic Approach is when a person is on the official list of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. In most cases, the later only happens when a land settlements occur, a member will present itself to obtain royalties and other benefits.
