Because of the uprising led by Brutus’ father, Cassius and Brutus conspire to do the same thing. However, back then was a lot different from the current day that Brutus lives in. When his father killed the man, the nation rejoiced but that was before they grew attached to the guy who was trying to be crowned king. In the present day it is different because a lot of
King Priam watches as his sons body gets dragged behind Achilles Chariot in the Greek camp. Achilles refuses to give up Hectors body to Priam because he is saddened due to the death of his friend Patroclus. Achilles and Priam are both free, not only of their kingly roles but Achilles is free from the rage and grief he feels following Patroclus' Death and Priam is liberated from the restrictions placed upon him as king when he goes to retrieve his sons body. Achilles is Liberated from the rage and grief he feels following Patroclus' his "adoptive brother"'s Death. The shocking grief Achilles is put through when Patroclus' dies, sends Achilles into a hopeless fury.
Soon” Achilles doesn’t want to be without his partner, he knows he will be soon reunited. In the battle of Achilles in a rage and Hector for his life, Hector was slain down and in his last words where i=his own breath gave out it was replaced by a god that stated “You will not outlive me Achilles” the voice whispered then, “The days are few for you to walk the earth…. In your father’s house in Pthia they are preparing to mourn”. Achilles faces the likelihood of dying, and leaving mortality. Achilles doesn’t make or follow his conscience he
Odysseus and had not seen his wife and son for 20-plus years. He was desperate to see his wife and son, so much that he would do anything to get to them. Unless there was a different way to get home that would save the crew, he chose his family over his crew. He was selfish in that he was willing to sacrifice the entire ship to get to his family. Odysseus cared for his crew but realized if he told them the truth, he would never get home.
A thing which has never happened and has never been heard of up until this point of existence. Yet, he believes he can not bear the punishment God bestowed upon him, for he fears no longer having God’s watchful eye on him anymore, and he fears being killed by the others of the world. If he couldn’t bear the punishment because he would be forced to continue living, alone, and with the guilt of what he did, it would be reasonable for him to be unable to bear it. But that is not the way he sees his punishment. He is being removed from paradise because he himself defiled it and he fears death.
Both leaders seemed reasonable, but which would lead Daniel to live a joyful and everlasting life? If Daniel were to follow Rosh, his whole life would have to do with fighting and he could never have love. On the other hand, if Jesus were his leader he would never earn his vengeance against the Romans. The power source for Rosh is weapons and Jesus himself is the ultimate power source for his followers. Daniel had to decide what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
We were all there; it felt like we had a front row seat to Caesar’s death. When Brutus joins in to stall for time to carry out our plan, Brutus wants Metellus' brother, Publius Cimber, to be freed. Caesar is caught off guard and we had him right where we wanted him. It was a rush. Cinna stabs Caesar first, and the rest of us stabs him but Brutus was the last person to stab Caesar.
“They were paid to betray their master. Malcolm and Donalbain, the king’s two sons have run away and fled which makes them the prime suspects,” states Macduff. His accusation is understandable for it seems only logical to accuse those with royal blood of such an act, as a way to usurp the throne, rather than waiting for its passing down upon them. The early stages of this news still leave many open questions to be
The father is a round character, he was complicated. He did not have the will power to kill his son. His belief was that his son was the only remaining sign of God’s existence and without his son the man really had nothing to live for. At the end when the father is dying, “he thought he could hold his son in his dead arms” (279) but he couldn’t because he did not have the will power to do so. Throughout the book the father does not have any will power to harm his son and he succeeds in making his son live.
For instance in Peter’s letter, in short paragraph, he questioned Alexis about who will continue what he has begun and letting his son know about his potentials but rather he is hiding his talent beneath the earth. (peter’s letter; paragraph 10). This paragraph clearly shows that Peter desire was to press his son to lead the people of Tsar and its tradition. The second reason I believe that he wrote such an angry letter to his son was, because Alexis has no interest in war and politics. He lacked in knowledge in wars and responsibility of succeeding Russia as his son and as a loyal subject.
