Should animals live in the zoo? Are they treated well? Well, those are some questions that come to my mind once I think about going to visit a zoo. The zoo is a very interesting place as it tries to resemble some of the animals’ habitats. I have been to several zoos before but the one I went on Friday, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, was very fun. During my visit, I saw many animal species, I took the train to move from one station to another and I took some rest and had lunch. When we arrived, we had to wait for a few minutes to get our tickets to get inside the zoo. Once we got them, we took the way that led us where the different bird species were. I saw many types of birds that had different colors and shapes. Some of them had very colorful feathers not only in their bodies but also in their teals, which seemed very fascinated to me as I had never seen something like that before. Also, we went to see the lion, tigers, monkeys, and gorillas, which could not be much appreciated as they were just laying down on the ground. However, I saw a one year old gorilla which was fed by his mother. It was really beautiful to see that. After we saw all the animals described, my friends and I took the train which moved us from the train station into the gardens and the reptile zone. In the gardens, I saw different types of flowers that had mainly different colors but not sizes. It was not interesting as the animals but I noticed how clean the area and the environment were. When we arrived to the reptile zone, I was very surprised because I had never seen such big snakes before. There were many large and huge snakes of different colors but the one who most surprised me, was the boa. What a huge and scary reptile! Also, I noticed how well cared are the animals in this zoo.
