Wars, diseases, and the acquisition of status led to the mixing of races. Poverty persisted among the vast majority of the population, especially in the center, and the south. Mexico had a classic peasantry large mass of campesinos or country people who worked out meager livings from the land. 2) Discuss the Spanish goals, policies, and administration of the colonies of Latin America. The main goals for the Spanish colonies in Latin America is to establish religious freedom and to the formation of Independent countries.
This links into the title point that Mussolini had a wide support base and that it was growing. This aslo links to andother factor of his appointment, Mussolinis tactics, he used the dual stratagy, which is the threat of violence but staying within the political system. The nationalists, who wanted a stronger Italy, would have been used as a threat of violence and rebellion. Another factor from the war was the demobalistaion of 5 million troop, this created high unemployment, both were seeking jobs and recognition for their part in the war. The troops would have felt let down as well, so therefore wanted reform and supported Mussolinis violence tactic.
Biggie feud which I briefly spoke of earlier. Though there really was a problem between the two rappers, it was blown way out of proportion by producer Suge Knight who also had a feud but with Biggie's producer Puff Daddy. He encouraged 2pac to continuely attack Biggie in his songs. 2pac seemed to be unaware of the fact that he was actually being used by Suge to promote something even better, a westcoast vs. eastcoast war. This led to millions of albums beings sold because people began to feed into the hype and joined in on the war.
The capitalist class acquired cheap labour and land through this government-sanctioned racial exploitation. The effects of past internal colonialism are reflected today in the number of Aboriginal people who live in extreme poverty on government reserves”(Murry, 2014, p.286). In 1876 The Canadian government passed the Indian Act, which gave the government almost all rights to Aboriginal peoples life. “The regulations under the act included prohibitions against owning and, voting, purchasing and consuming alcohol, and leaving reserves without permission and a ticket from the government’s agent” (Murry, 2014, p.292). Residential boarding schools were the only options for Aboriginal children and the conditions of these schools were terrible.
The worst rates have California, Rhode Island, Nevada and Puerto Rico. In these states are between 10 and 14 percent of the population unemployed. But in comparison with switzerland, its like double: in switzerland we have about 3% unemployed people now. In Comparison to the whole US, Kansas is under the average of 8.16 percent. The mentality of the locals is, as we say, typical american.
They believe this was a right that they were given by our Four Fathers, which is clearly not true. Yes, they have the freedom of speech but when should the freedom be taken away? What about the rights of the innocent victims and their families? Hate crimes, because of their nature will always lead to violence and this is not a freedom that people should have. In my opinion, the penalties for hate crimes should continue to be more severe than that of a regular crime because so many innocent people are injured and even killed simply because they are different.
It's big. So big there's about five distinct and different places here, separated from one another geologically, topographically, botanically, ethnically, culturally and climatically. Hence our boring habit of specifying East, West and South Texas, plus the Panhandle and the Hill Country. The majority of the state's blacks live in East Texas, making it more like the Old South than the Old South is anymore. West Texas is, more or less, like Giant, except, like every place else in the state, it has an incurable tendency toward the tacky and all the cowboys are brown.
It costs approximately $15 billion to provide welfare to illegal immigrants each year. “Most illegal immigrants are part of the working classes, and do not have any special skills or a good education. Many of these people live on government benefits even in Mexico.” (Kim, 2011) Many of these illegal immigrants are working in this country illegally, most of their earnings are sent back to Mexico to their families, keeping it out of the American economy. To patrol the U.S. border with Mexico it costs approximately $2.7 billion per year. Illegal immigration from Mexico is having a negative social impact on the United States as well.
Some of these factors as seen on the national level include low per-capita income, as expressed by low GDP per capita, highly unequal distribution of income, poor infrastructure, lack of availability of modern technologies, and low consumption of efficient energy sources. GDP per capita indicates the annual dollar value of goods and services produced per person. Iraq’s GDP per capita in 2011 was $3,900.00. The GDP by sector is agriculture 9.7%, Industry 60.5%, and services 29.8%. Iraq’s economy is dominated by the oil (industry) sector which has traditionally provided about 95% of foreign exchange earnings.
The colonialists would use their superior power to force the local inhabitants into a labour force, some may call this exploitation and in many cases it was but along with all this exploitation and violence was a new found infrastructure government system. There were many positives that followed colonialism as I mentioned above but in order for the colonialists to establish this new way of life amongst the local people much blood followed and new diseases to which the local people had no immunity. Recently there has been this outcry by the “oppressed” countries that the western countries should pay reparations for slavery and colonialism to minorities and natives of the third world. Personally I think this is a ridiculous point to try and make. There is nothing uniquely western about colonialism.
