Business environmental forces affect the way many businesses conduct B2B and/or B2C transactions. In order to understand and identify which environment Yahoo operates, we have to identify with some of the basic information about Yahoo. Yahoo is more than an interactive web portal business. Yahoo has grown in size and purpose with the acquisition or offer to acquisition Tumblr, a website which is a blogging platform/content management system for $1.1 billion back in early May 2013. Yahoo operates in the technological environment. Yahoo had to face the idea of expansion early in their development and launching, especially when David Filo and Jerry Lang, Yahoo’s founders, hired experts like Srinija Srinivasan to handle their business model and face some of the challenges before Yahoo. Some of those challenges were the marketing of Yahoo’s advertisement, the expansion of global web satellite portals, and the manning, development, and operation of Yahoo. The flexible state of the global economy was an issue for Yahoo to overcome due to the as well as creating demand for Yahoo’s services to businesses and global consumers. The constant updating and implementation of new technology placed yahoo a head in the market as a well know web portal service that offered products like ISP portal, Social Networking Portal, Product Bundling Portals, and Customized Portals.
