Pearson has really influenced many people. “Only Mr. Pearson could have saved the world.” Nobel Prize Committee, 1957. Canadians respected him also and had many wonderful remarks on his way of governing the country. To me Lester B. Pearson looked like a smart man that knew his politics. He was shy but let the Canadians get what they wanted.
In 1972m Millions of Canadians watched on of the most famous events in Canadian sports history, when Paul Henderson scored the winning goal for Team Canada in a best of eight series against the Soviet Union. Canadian hockey supremacy was reaffirmed and Canadians were paying attention to the better things in life and had realised there is nothing in war. Both Gretzky and Crosby were considered hockey heroes and role models in their era. In comparison, both generations have seen immense change in the game of hockey itself. Both men shared many similarities that help explain the reason for their godly like status in the hockey society. Both players emerged into the Professional leagues at a very young age and immediately became much respected players within their clubs.

Introduction: An aggressive pilot, due to his daring nature, a young Canadian became a legend and inspired a new generation of aces. Billy Bishop was a courageous man and the greatest fighter pilot to serve Canada during the times of war. The purpose of this essay is to learn and recognize the different contributions made by Billy Bishop and his journey to rising above his peers through strength and courage. This is true because he would go on to won 16 medals and become the first Canadian to win the Victoria Cross. First the difficult path he faced to achieving his dream will be discussed.

The “Magic Number 4”, Bobby Orr, was a star player in the NHL in the late 1960’s to the mid 1970’s. His achievements and defining moments as a hockey player continue to be highlighted and discussed today and will forever be honoured in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Robert Gordon Orr (Bobby Orr) was born March 20th, 1948 in the town of Parry Sound, Ontario. From a very young age, Bobby Orr started skating and quickly demonstrated a passion for hockey.
Not only was this an astute political move, it was also a necessary service provided to those who kept Rome safe. While Caius’s public reforms did much to help the Roman people, what truly set him apart as a social reformer were his actions outside of the Roman political sphere. In his second term as tribute, Caius left his house on the Palatine Hill to live in the market place with the common people of Rome. He left his life of luxury to live a common life among his constituents so that he could better serve their interests. This shows Caius’s strong political sensibilities, as well as his dedication to employing social reform to make Rome a better place for all of its’
It shows that in the face of adversity, there is always that cloud with a silver lining. This article was actually an eye opener, reading about all trials and tribulations Kaplansky had to go through for rights that should be given to all, regardless of race and background. It is so hard to believe that just a couple years ago anti-Semitic views were shared by the vast majority of a town. This being brought to the light, having it hit so close to home, was a good thing for me because I now am proud of how far we as Canadians have come; especially, in certain areas like Toronto where multiculturalism is basically the trademark of the city. This article has changed my outlook on many topics, now that I have read it.
He is one of the big reasons that the United States has a middle working class because of his great generosity for his workers. Ford could have been anyone. He proved that small ideas from a know nothing farm boy, that made some mistakes along the way but was persistent, could change the entire course of the world for the better, something Ford Motor company continues to achieve today. In my opinion he was a popular president. He also won the Nobel peace prize. His personality was awesome. He was also a loving family man. Theodore Roosevelt’s time of being president seemed so powerful to me.
