When the shuttle Columbia exploded it was just as devastating as the shuttle Challenger that exploded in the late 80’s. These types of tragedies are not supposed to happen ever. It is up to all crews responsible such as the mission control team, to make sure that every piece of the shuttle is up to par before going into space. I would suggest to the members of the mission control team, that if they have doubts, it is very important that you speak up and let someone know that you think something may be wrong. Although you may not have all the evidence to support your decision, you have to make your superiors believe you and hope that they take a second look. This has to happen because 1.
