Why Does Mockingjay Fail?

In the third and final book of the Hunger Games series, we find Katniss Everdeen alive and living in District Thirteen. Her original home, District Twelve, has been destroyed by the capitol and most of the other districts await the same fate, unless the rebels, who saved Katniss and live in District Thirteen, can stop them. It is up to Katniss to become the mockingjay she was meant to be and lead the rebels to defeating the capitol. But how will she do that when Peeta Mellark, her onscreen boyfriend, and good friend, has been captured by the capitol, and President Snow is doing everything in his power to see her fail? While the book was good and it finished the series well, it wasn’t quite as fast paced as the first two books in the series. Mockingjay was a little slow at times and I found some parts to be dragging on. However, the book was good because it brought the amazing series to a close and left me with a sense of bittersweet resolution knowing how everything turned out. Throughout the book I really found myself getting attached to certain characters that I never thought I would, and by the end of it, I was very emotionally attached to many of the characters. So, even though Mockingjay was a little slow, and very different from the first two books in the series, I was satisfied with this book and I believe that it was an appropriate way to end a great
