I want to be able to have a good career and succeed in life. That means being able to support myself and my family. Having a decent job from going to college could change someone’s life. I want to be proud of myself for going to college. Throughout the years in high school I never really thought about my future until my senior year.
When I decided to go back to school, knew that college would help me refresh my brain in certain areas that I may need improvement on. I also returned to school because I want a job that will fit with me. Since I have been out of high school, I have had quite a few jobs. The jobs that were employed at, I knew that those jobs were what I did not want to have a career out of for the rest of my life. So, after all the different jobs I had back to back and me not being satisfied with either one.
The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.
We were all somehow exposed to different backgrounds, as well as lifestyles. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the statement “Is College for Everyone” doesn’t imply to certain people who were raised to think otherwise. However, Pharinet seems to think that most kids should consider not going to college at all. Pharinet went on to explain how most students will find themselves working full-time jobs to help pay the expenses of college, in result their grades begins to drop. Then the student decides to drop to a part-time worker, register for less class hours to find more time to work on improving their grades.
This article is based upon different type of fallacies Beres uses to tell his audience that the Common Application process is a waste of many, and doesn’t give the students what they deserve. He uses Appeal to Ignorance when he talks about how those who have a high SAT score and “mommy and daddy credit card isn’t maxed out”. So what if their parents are working hard for this kids? Appeal to Popular Opinion by saying “kids are taking spots at universities that they may, in fact, have little to no interest in.” How can afford to go to a university that will cost at least 30K to graduate just because they don’t like it? He mentions that’s X amount of Y students got accepted into a particular college, but doesn’t talk about how many percentage of Y actually meet the requirements of their “dream”
(Pros and Cons, 2012) For high school graduates, commuting from home appears to them as a disadvantage. The graduates who believe that to be a disadvantage ask themselves, am I too close to home? Or, do I feel like I am still in high school? Most community colleges do not provide housing for students. (MD, 2012) Instead, they gear toward the needs of commuter students.
Being open-minded to learn or do new things can show one's true passion for a profession. Lastly, Many students go into college and change their major at least once, going through college helps show you what you really want to invest your time in as a profession (Importance of College Education). It’s okay if one doesn’t know what they want to do going into college, there are many things offered in college someone can learn to love, and want to do in the future. All in all, finding oneself is an important part of life. There are many things college has to offer that’ll help someone not only teach them new things, but help them pursue their
The information will help me get through my school and finish assignments on time. Also it will help me manage my time and stay on top of all of my classes. Getting through my first year at college will be hard but if I stay organized and focused I will reach my goals and succeed. To be a better student I need to seek extra help and use the resources on campus more often. I need to set goals in each one of my classes and stay focused and put my school work first.

But in the other hand, you should expect (and accept) the diversity of people. What to expect from college is not really something to specific. For example, many of us weren’t really use to studying during high school, mainly because it was so unchallenging.

Certainly the school system of today is very improved over the one in 1972 but, the different technical and vocational programs of today are not available in all schools neither to all students.
