This journey is one of realisation and the pathway to maturity. This can be discussed in many different scenes from the movie. The most important thing to pete during the journey are his spiritual beliefs and ways learnt from his grandfather Jubbi. Before the journey pete was just a young boy, messing around with his best friend kalmain, believing his grandfathers 'old' ways were useless, and thinking he could look after himself but couldn't. The journey put pete into realisation that everything his grandfather had taught him had saved his and kalmains life.
Also, her lack of intelligence has left her with no job and an inability to get a job. In the story, there are many reasons contributing to Jean’s feeling of emptiness and difficulty in her life. To begin, her husband, Ross feels as though he has married beneath himself, and he does not love her anymore. Their marriage was most likely caused by Jean getting pregnant with their son, which made Ross feel like he had to marry her out of force. In the story, Ross specifically tells their son, Kevin that he should try not to marry beneath himself because he will end up stuck in the same situation as him.
In reading the fiction story “Killings” written by Andre Dubus, you think the two characters Matt Fowler and Richard Strout are very different. Dubus has the reader sympathetic towards Matt though the tragic death of his son Frank, and less feelings towards Richard. However, midway through the story you begin to compare Fowler and Strout and how they; love their family deeply, want revenge on the wrong that was done to them, and seek out homicidal justice. Matt Fowler’s love for his family is evident. I believe that Dubus wants us to know that Fowler loved his wife.
The story finally argues that the love of a parent is powerful enough to overlook nature’s flaws. Mario Garcia’s short story, “Poolman”, argues that although society may believe that raising a disabled child is a tragic sacrifice, it is mutually beneficial. The story explains Jose’s devotion to Michael who “needed constant attention, constant vigilance.” Although he was only seven, Jose knew that “there was no end in sight” (Garcia 5). It doesn’t matter to Jose that Michael has disabilities; Jose still has unconditional love for Michael, and he enjoys raising him like how any father would enjoy raising their child. Everything that Michael’s father does is in a positive effort to help Michael to be a normal kid.
The movie illustrates complex plotting, including reversal and recognition with all the characters. In the movie Uncle Buck, shows the opposite of catastrophe for the good in the beginning of the movie. Uncle Buck seems to be living the life, going to horse races to gamble, having a girl that he is not committed to, a job that he does not go to everyday and he does not have kids to watch everyday. Uncle Buck seems to have the life that other people want. Uncle Buck’s lifestyle soon changes when he realizes what a family is when he has to watch his brother’s kids for the week.
This changes the viewers reaction to Chris as at the start, he is very arrogant to his family, but these things shows how he can be compassionate. Another reaction to Chris' personality was his arrogance to his family. His parents looked after him and at the start offered him a car, but he was arrogant about the life he had. He threw it all away, traded the life so many would want for a life in the wild. He realises that his family and the people who were part of his journey cared for him but he rejects their love and goes to live alone.
Victor knew that without Thomas, he wouldn’t have had the journey he should and did have, and for that ,he was grateful. It takes a lot to give your father’s ashes to someone outside of your family, and it showed an eternal gratitude to Thomas for a journey that helped Victor understand more about his past and be happy about his
Hally’s father is an onerous man, because he drinks instead of standing up and taking care of his responsibilities. All these problems at home leads to the very agonizing conversations that Hally and his mother have over the phone. Hally knows to be respectful to his mother, but he takes out his frustration on other people. He is a kind and caring person, but when the phone rings and Hally realizes it’s his mother, everything goes downhill. In the tearoom, at the table, Hally was having a nice conversation with Sam, and then the phone rang, and Sam goes up to get it.

The movie focuses on the relationship Walt develops with his Hmong neighbors. Walt manages to strategically save the life of the boy next door, Thao. Walt helps Thao get his life back on track. Thao has been coerced to partake into his cousin’s gang.
The novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee shows that honor is a prominent characteristic in a person. Atticus Finch is honorable because, raises his children with a strong set of values, he gets himself into something he knows is not going to turn out good but still tries his hardest, , and isn’t willing to cover anything up to take the easy way out. In the novel, Sir Atticus Finch is an honorable character and shows this by the way he raises his children. Atticus is Scout’s, the protagonist, and Jem’s father. Atticus tries to teach his children to vision yourself in the other person’s shoes before judging them.
