It is located in Giza where it guards the front of Khafra's pyramid. The greatest monumental sculpture in the ancient world, the Sphinx is carved out of a single ridge of stone 240 feet (73 meters) long and 66 feet (20 meters) high. The sphinx is built of soft sandstone and would have disappeared long ago had it not been buried for so long. It was the first time that a pharaoh had been represented in this way with the body of a lion, even though this animal had symbolised royalty ancient Egypt’s beginnings around 3000 BC. The animal body of the Sphinx in fact represented the king’s triumphant strength.

What do we know about ancient Egypt and what it meant in Egyptian culture? Ancient Egypt that we know is mostly identified by its enormous pyramids, in particular the Great Pyramid at Giza, which was built during the middle of the third millennium, BC. These pyramids are massive monuments built over or around a crypt or tomb. These pyramids are served as royal tombs.
In the past people believed that dressed as a man to get approval of the Egyptians. Lots of remnants from her ruling was removed after her dead. The tomb or the pharaohs mummy have never been found with evidence. For twenty years, Egypt was wealthy and very resourceful during the Queens ruling. Trading routs were longer and temples were being built all over Egypt.
If I had the money, I would travel across the country to watch it again in another theatre because of how powerful the show was. It moved every person that came out of the doors. I did not hear a single negative comment as I walked back to my car. I would highly recommend seeing the show if the chance presents itself. I would give it a 9.8 out of 10 stars if I had to rate it.
For instance you can go on an hour tour or so and go and look at the Old Kingdom of Egypt which was known for there sun worship, pyramid building trading expedition as far as the North and the Black Sea. The rise of the rulers at the old kingdoms of Egypt finally broke pharaoh’s power, by ending the olds kingdom. You can also go and visit the Nile River because it is one of the longest rivers in the world. The pyramids of Giza are also a neat place, which three great Egyptian pyramids built on the banks of the Nile River, and they are on the Seven Wonders of the World. During 2000-1786 BC people would love to visit the Middle Kingdom of Egypt.
Preserving artifacts is great for Greeks economy because it attracts millions of tourists each year and makes thousands of jobs. Greece attracts so many tourists every year because of their techniques to conserve their ancient monuments and artifacts and the acropolis in Athens has even been described by UNESCO as “the greatest architectural and artistic complex bequeathed by Greek antiquity to the world”. Sculptures from ancient Greece is also something that is world-wide known and admired until today. Artists that study sculptures and ancient art will always search for Greece as a primary resource of arts and ancient history. The Greek economy may not be doing so well nowadays but even tough they lack money in various areas they never let their cultural artifacts in a bad state.
The great pyramid of Khufu is by far the most famous pyramid in egypt, the biggest, tallest, and most intact. It is one of the "Seven wonders of the world." It is the last one standing. It is built of entirely limestone and consinlered an architectural masterpiece. It contains around 1,300,000 blocks ranging in weight from 2.5 tons to 15 tons and is built on a square base with sides measuring about 230m (775 ft.) covering 13 acreas!
Seti I was the father of perhaps Egypt's greatest rulers, Ramesses II , and was in his own right also a great leader.His birth name is Seti Mery-en-ptah, meaning 'He of the god Seth, beloved of Ptah.To the Greeks, he was Sethos I, and his throne name was Men-maat-re, meaning 'Eternal is the Justice of Re'.He ruled Egypt for 13 years (though some Egyptologists differ on this matter, giving him a reign of between 15 and 20 years) from 1291 through 1278 BC. In order to rectify the instability under the Amarna kings, he early on set a policy of major building at home and a committed foreign policy. Seti was the son of Ramesses I and his queen, Sitre. He probably ruled as co-regent, evidenced by an inscription on a statue from Medamud. Seti married into his own military caste.

His works remain unsurpassed when compared to other works of the same era. The rule of Ramses the second commenced in 1304 BC, becoming the 3rd pharaoh of the 19 dynasty. There are many faults in his reign, but also very notable positive things. Ramses fought in many battles during his rule over Egypt.
