When you visit Egypt, there are so many sites that you will want to visit, the length of your trip will never seem long enough! We often meet people during our our tours , that have been to Egypt more than 15 times, and they keep returning to see something new! They ask about this newly discovered site, or some new tomb that has been recently uncovered, or even places that they have heard other people talk about! Here in Egypt, you will always find new sites to visit and enjoy. Many visitors believing they have seen the best, often get a shock when later finding out how much remains undiscovered by them. But with more than 90% of all attractions lined up along the river Nile, Egypt is one big invitation to come and visit. Even if travelling in Egypt is not done without precautions, everyday Egyptians are friendly people, proud to receive visitors from all over the world, and ready to help in all situations – just keep your baksheesh (tip) ready. But don't forget: Even if most people think of Egypt as pyramids and ancient monuments, there is much more! The Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx The Pyramids of Giza represent one of the greatest architectural feats by man. The last surviving member of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the world's oldest tourist attractions and the reason most people visit Egypt today. There are in fact three main pyramids in Giza; the Great Pyramid of Khufu (or Cheops), The Pyramid of Kafhre and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaura. Each Pyramid is a tomb to a different King of Egypt. In front of the pyramids lies the Sphinx, or Abu al-Hol in Arabic, "Father of Terror". Carved out of a single block of stone, this enormous cat-like sculpture has mesmerized millions of visitors.
